Have you seen that video or whatever of the last two Southern White Rhinos (both female) and they are under 24 hour guard? The guards just lay in the dirt and cuddle with them
Right now me 2.75 year old daughter is the biggest momma's girl. She only likes me like 1/2 the time and is a turd to me about 1/2 the time.
This is gonna be tough for a four year old to hear especially after just seeing the white rhino project in San Diego. I didn’t tell him we did that.
Both of my kids hate me because I am like 2% more strict with them than mom. Figure it’ll always be this way.
People do it to either cut costs and/or bc they really want a specific venue within a specific timeframe.
People with older kids, when did you start letting your kids consume more mature content? I mainly mean letting them listen to explicit music and watch things that were rated R/TV-MA?
Seems about right. My 9-yr old has started requesting people like Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar when we're in the car. I play him the clean versions, but he likes to read the lyrics while he listens so he can pick it up faster and the lyrics in the app aren't always edited. He's pretty into the Venom movies at the moment, which get about as close to R as you can I feel like. Mom isn't a fan. He asked to go see Deadpool 3 when that came out because kids on his soccer team did. That was a hard no.
Come on man, we all know you dude was banging chicks in the guest shower at 12. You telling me he started watching movies with cuss words only the same year?
So the lesson here for dad's is, one year from letting your child watch a rated R movie, they will be fuckin
Apparently I started at 4 years old b/c my son got in trouble for putting his middle finger in kids face at school yesterday. He also already knows every curse word.
My son loves Kendrick. I had to stop playing it b/c of so many n-bombs and I'm legit fucking terrified of him repeating that word. I've found a clean version on spotify but can't find a clean version of Not like Us, which he loves.
Meanwhile, Juke Box Hero is currently on the radio and my son couldn't care less. I don't know about Gen Alpha...
Pre sure my 2 year ole watched a few episodes of South Park after I fell asleep and she came into our room overnight
i had Anora rolling when my 8 year old barged in the other night. thankfully paused it in the 5 minutes of the first act mikey madison was not naked.
I was putting my 3.5 yr old son to bed tonight when he said "Dada... I'm gonna fart on you" and proceeded to twist his ass to shoot a fart my way....and in honestly less than 30 seconds later he was snoring and asleep. Amazing last words and action for a day.
We got my kids e-scooters for Christmas. Due to it being bad weather for riding the majority of this year so far, they haven't gotten to ride them with exception to just a little bit in the driveway. Yesterday it was 60 degrees anf sunny. Perfect day. My daughter had a bunch of homework so she was doing that and the boy and I took them out and rode damn near 8 miles. Was a blast and it was a great time bonding with the 8 year old.
Wife and kid left Friday after work/school to go to a lake house with some other moms & kids for spring break. This is the longest I have gone without seeing him and I have 2 more days. Not doing well. These days are moving so slow without my little buddy beside me.
My middle son keeps telling me that Jesus died on the cross. Repeatedly. Then he and my older son almost got into a fist fight before dinner over whether Jesus died on the cross or underground. We’re not religious, at all.
My oldest got the stomach bug last Thursday afternoon after a kid on his bus puked. The rest of us made it until last night, and I thought we were in the clear until my six year old splatter painted his wall while asleep. He’s been vomiting/dry heaving every 30 minutes since 10, and I haven’t slept at all. On top of that, the poor guy shit his pants once while puking once so I had to strip him down and put him in the shower. Parenting is great sometimes.
Hoping my kids don't adjust to the time change this week so they can continue sleeping in on spring break vacation next week
My kids love their "saucer swing". My wife doesn't as I send their asses flying but no one has been launched off yet. Downside of these swings is they have to be pushed. Kind of want to get a regular swing as well. Tons of em out there. If you go this route just make sure you get one like that where its trampoline material and not the ropes like below. Ropes are way more uncomfortable.
Funny crossover from stupid shit wives do. I was pushing my youngest as high as it goes when my wife starts screaming bloody murder in the house. I didn't think twice and sprinted inside leaving him flying high on the swing. We checked the cameras afterwards to watch me jump to action/bail on my son and see my oldest start to sprint after me, realize little brother was still swinging high, and he went back and stopped the swing so they could both run inside together. Cool big bro moment.
For those of you with young ones, do you use fluoride or fluoride free toothpaste? Dentist wasn’t much help, said it was basically up to us.
Small amount of the same toothpaste we use. That amount of fluoride is fine even if and when they swallow it.
we have the rope material one and its worked out ok and has held up great over the last 4 or 5 years weve had it
I inherited both kinds at different points (one the previous owners left, current one my neighbor gave me). Currently have the rope one. It does the job and the kids don't complain but I used to lay down on the trampoline material one from time to time and it was just comfier. I have no idea how old my rope one is so it could just be stiffened from lack of use/age.
