Kinda disappointed that it doesn't seem like you'll be able to buy it exactly like the concept was but whatever. Will just be an extra expense to move from 33's to 37's right after taking it off the lot. Happy with the doors and back window carrying over. Sounds like the bronze accents are on all of them though. Not really a fan of that. They don't work with all colors. Guess we'll see when the pre-orders go up.
Cant get those numbers with 37's Half doors are nice but about $1500 per pair, unpainted, last I saw.
Ahh true. They could have given performance numbers on 33's and made 35's and 37's an option. Maybe they will.
Ok need some help from the experts. Mother in law has a 2006 TJ Unlimited that she almost never drives. She has a 2020 GC Trailhawk as her daily and notes the obvious power difference between the two. What’s the best place to look for bolt on parts to increase the power output on the old 4.0 inline six?
It's tough. There's a Trail Jammer kit that helped mine a lot but it's still nowhere close to my GC. It's an intake, throttle body, and chip. I have it and think it was worth the money. There's also a supercharger for it that seems pretty wild but it's about 5k installed and I haven't done it yet.
Can you bolt everything on yourself? My understanding is that the TJ’s were the last of the “simple” Jeep’s.
I think so. My local shop installed it when I did loft and tires so I can't say for sure. It's been a while and there seems to be a few versions out there now. Edge was the company that made mine but it seems like Superchips makes one now too. They may own Edge, idk. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thejee...87514-2005-2006-tj-wrangler-trail-jammer-ext/
