IMO, it’s for the best. Love the show, but my ability to suspend disbelief is getting weaker every season. End it on the showrunners own terms, with hopefully some of the main characters finally paying the price for the things they’ve done.
like I said in the netflix thread, the only storyline left is them/Cartel vs the psycho old lady and Ruth with her pussy ass cousin
It’s a great show and Jason Bateman is awesome it. He’s one of favorite actors. Glad to see they are ending on their terms
just finished episode three. I think I am gonna commit to this, even if it is a bit slower than I expected
Drama at the kids new school, the girl nearly drowning, the boy becoming obsessed with invasive species, the girl trying to run away to Chicago. Might pull the plug on all this family drama and stop after season one. More Mexican drug cartels being ruthlessly violent please
Hopefully they get to a point where the two kids don't cause Marty and Wendy more trouble than the cartel
i liked season one better than 2 and 3 because it was more of a slow burn. season 2 goes full action movie imo which isnt bad (and is in fact enjoyable) but it is not as fun as the first season. may just be me need to do a rewatch before season 4 starts
episode eight of season one is some boring ass shit And these redneck heroin dealers are absolutely awful characters
Yeah I'm done. Redneck heroin dealers blowing off Del's head for calling them rednecks was awful Casting is not great with those rednecks. Especially the one who got involved with the lunatic FBI agent, who is also a terrible character. Glad we spent time with his mom
Watched the series over a month or so with wife. First, great show. Im sure I have more thoughts but one that stands out is I was convinced Darlene was an annoyance an the easiest character to just kill in S1. By S3 she's become important and in some cases possible to root for. The scene with Frank Jr was great. Jonah has been one of the shows best characters development wise. Awkward, smart, and plays it really well. Don't know why the FBI agent has to be full term pregnant. Feels like a stressful place to be at that point when she first starts the case. I thought the therapist buying the car was hilarious. Bateman has to inject some humor into the show and I was completely fine with that absurd part. Kinda want to buy a boat.
Oh my biggest plot gripe is the idea the US military would go into Mexico to possibly end a drug war over either a) kidnapping and releasing a single US citizen who has been under years long investigation for laundering the money of drug cartels or b) the murder of 3 mobsters. I just don't see the us invasion of Mexico into an armed conflict arising from that but hey.
Just finished rewatching season 3. Forgot how big of an obstacle Ben was and that the season ended with a furious Jonah. The Ben scenes towards the end are extremely hard to watch
OK, that is why I was asking. I wasn't sure. So my guess is they break it up by a few months at least, but just a guess. That also explains why there are no season packs on torrance sites.
Lol you had me doubting if I’d seen it was 14 episodes, but it looks like they broke it up into part 1, and part 2.
Yup giving us part 1 and then a small break to get us dying for part 2 and then we’ll get that and finish this up
