Well from 2013-18 they were fighting over 15 million dollars. Probably would have been finalized in 2013 had he not won the lottery.
One of my friends had a secret bank account at a bank back where he grew up. His wife eventually found out about it. I would love to have been a fly on the wall for that fight.
We have separate accounts, much easier she can do as she likes and so can I.........don’t have to answer to each other ever about finances
Joint bank account Joint main credit card We each have our own personal card in addition Never had a fight over money, if anything making everything joint taught my wife better spending habits
It’s a $100 every time I step in a grocery store, shit My wife has free reign to buy anything she needs but needs are not the same as wants. If she needs a purse I don’t care but if she has 4 similar than that’s a want. That’s our rule
Wife hs gotten over not having kids. Thankfully. Now at 42, almoat 43, and I feel like late 20’s. So, yeah, things are fine.
My point was I highly doubt they discuss charges over $100 that are necessities. You know what he means.
Just got married and merged liquid accounts. A single account makes it much easier for me as the one who handles finances but that's not why we did it. I'm not going to say to another poster that the way they do it is wrong - but I do see it much differently than those who insist on separate accounts or a view of 'my money' and 'her money'. We both have access to the others CC accounts, but don't spend the time to review, partly because we are DINK'ing right now. Surely a change in circumstances (job or health or kids) would alter our behavior now, but we agreed on $500 being the threshold for discretionary purchases.
Super glad this will be the opposite for me. The GF has 0 debt, I have a mountain of it (looked into SoFi and it made my monthly payments massive) and based on talks with a financial advisor the best option for me is the standard repayment and hoping loan forgiveness is still a think in 20 more years. So while I constantly convince her to travel and spend money, she's the one sitting there debt free.
THEBLUERAIDER i just got $300 in referrral money - appreciate you Let me know if you got your extra money too
grab one of these if you can. https://www.homedepot.com/p/ECHO-21...aft-Trimmer-and-Edger-Kit-PAS-225VP/202064228 Love mine. Roughly $350 + tax for 21cc power source that covers weeding, edging and blowing. about 10 other attachments you can add if you like, without adding another full piece of gear, only one engine to maintain etc. Swap takes about 10-15 seconds.
Bumping this thread due to the SoFi talk I saw a few pages back. You guys that did it been happy with the move? How is the process of getting Nelnet paid off, etc.
