I’m gonna have to get those for my closet now.
When they require a room rather than part of a closet
Bedroom closet is like 5ft by 9’-6” with 9ft ceiling. Main thing will be getting double height hanging storage. I have so many shirts. I was thinking $1k-$1500 which is why I am waiting till I really can’t stand it anymore.
Our closet is roughly 5’ x 15’ and everything in it was $1600ish. The more stuff you need hung, the cheaper, obviously.
If you go IKEA, keep in mind you’ll have to get the deeper frames. They’re the only ones designed for horizontal bars. The shorter depth frames have the clothing department store tiered hanging hardware which isn’t space efficient for what you want.
You might try a couple different suppliers if you can get them. The ones I bought definitely aren’t flush but the raised bubble still looks a lot better than the black holes in my opinion.
Females like lots of shoes
I would say when you have more shoes than your wife unless your wife only has about 10 pair. Basically, around 20 pair should be a hard cap for most men. Any more than that and the man is probably the one in the relationship that responds to the question where do you want to eat with “I don’t care you chose” followed immediately by “not there” after 20 different restaurants are named. Then after eating and asking whats wrong, they respond with “nothing, I’m fine.”
we welcome the damn good dawg back with open arms
GET A LOAD OF THIS UN-MARRIED GUY
edit - I caught up on the thread and looked back at the original pics... that is... that is a lot of shoes.
I’ve had Lifx for a few years and have slowly started switching to Hue. When there’s an issue with lifx they’re not as easy to reconnect. Have had a couple Lifx go bad also.
Just ordered the Hue Gradiant light strip for behind the tv :BartScottCantWait:
Is he the kind of guy to order rocks from Indonesia via sea frieght, and have to wander into a sketchy warehouse in North Miami, having to explain to the warehouse that I don't have a semi truck for the loading zone, and that I wish to just carry the rocks out of the warehouse by hand?
Do we have a tmb sanctioned sleeping sock? I hear cashmere or merino wool are good, but idk
Wear socks to sleep? Are you a fucking psycho? Do you live in an igloo (past week notwithstanding)?
Saw a tweet from wirecutter and this is apparently a thing. And if I'm going to do a thing, it must be done as obnoxiously as possible.
I have seen some things recently that suggested the benefits of doing such. I tried it a couple times and after an hour or 2 of tossing and turning and feelings as if I should check my self into an inpatient mental facility for attempting such, I have realized that I will never receive the benefits of wearing socks to sleep.
For those following closely, science has now determined the best sleep benefits are to be achieved while sleeping naked, with socks on.
I’ll lotion up my feet with gold bond foot moisturizer and then put socks on but I’ve yet to wake up with socks still on my feet
Well I have tried it as well and they just irritate my hairy man feet. But maybe it's because I'm using cotton socks like a goddamn idiot? We have people who import pen ink and cure their own meats. You trying to tell me we don't have a sock connoisseur?
this but kerasal
We probably have one.
I have not worn a cotton sock in probably 20 years but nothing in my arsenal will allow me to wear socks to sleep.
Throw all your cotton socks away and get some merino wool or some type of performance fabric
I’m vindicated! It’s a lot of shoes.
Sleep with nothing but a merino wool sock on my junk. Only way to do it
Good thinking. Just ordered a few ankle lengths and one half of a crew length
After much deliberation, I have made a purchase. This one is for the feet. Thank you and god bless
I find if I wear the socks on my hands I get the same benefit.
I own these and can confidently say these are not sleep socks
They will train you to sleep without socks.
I would consider myself a sock enthusiast, but purely of the outdoor variety for activities such as backpacking and hiking etc. Wool socks are def worth it and over the years have slowly phased out a lot of my cotton socks. Now for sleeping I have no clue unless Im in a tent.
I'll go on the record and say that any sock can technically be a sleeping sock. I will report my findings once amazon determines that the dfw area is safe to enter

amazing for $130
All this talk about sleeping in socks slayed me.
What is this?

I don't know how to tag everyone that was curious for my thoughts on the Remarkable - https://remarkable.com/
I'll post a more in depth review if there's a desire for it.
I'm really enjoying it so far.
It is been extremely helpful for keeping me organized.
I used to have random thoughts/important notes spread across numerous notebooks. I found myself wasting time searching for stuff and often just rewriting ideas or having to retype up notes into our CRM to stay organized.
Paper just ends up in a pile or file...
Previously I would make notes on a notepad. Search (flip through pages) for those notes at a later date. Then retype the notes into our company CRM.
Now I basically write everything in the remarkable. At the end of the day (likely week in the future). I spend about 10 seconds per note copying the information into the correct folder.
If we have a planned marketing meeting. I open the individual folder and all of my notes from the previous meeting/discussion are there and there's no need to organize folders.
Each initiative from strategic plans, to individual employee has its own folder/notebook.
As an unorganized guy that needed help the $600 was well worth it.
Important disclaimer: I'm not sure if the "paper feel"/usability is worth the cost compared to using an ipad.
The actual pdf sending/handwriting to typed conversion isn't incredible. I know the fact that it is just a Notebook is probably a good thing for me..
Thank you for getting back. Appreciate it.
Got one and I like it
Now anybody know of a brand of new TV that uses that format like TCL does with Roku...?
the new chrome cast is great, I prefer the interface to shield, personally.
I believe Sony are supposed to shift to that eventually but still on older android tv interface for now.
