It’s remarkable to me that the first 20 minutes of Sicario 2 are reactionary dogshit and then the rest of the movie is great. Bruh, we didn’t need five scenes on the justification of an extrajudicial kidnapping, just let my boys Benicio and Josh cook

 

I haven't seen it yet to add any specifics but the level of us all knowing how terrible we all are and do this pretty regularly I would assume make's it an odd starting point.

 

Well, it’s on Hulu so remedy that asap. I don’t want to give anything away but the inciting incident tries way too hard given what we know about how we operate.

Fine, I’ll say it: Burn Notice is better than every show Sheridan has written for television.

 

It objectively is. At least the protagonist in Burn Notice tries to explain away the plot holes.

 

That and none of those Paramount shows star Bruce Campbell

 

Or Gabrielle Anwar. She's haunting and lovely.

Watched Shot Caller?

With only a few minutes of screen time Donovan kills it.

 

The dude consistently does more with less than very few in Hollywood. He was great in Shot Caller, both Sicarios and Wrath of Man.

 

I'm no movie buff just watch random stuff off youtube recs from clips, how I found Shot Caller.

In like a minute of screen time does a good job portraying Bottles as a terrifying sociopath.

Finally watched Yellowstone. All caught up and a big fan

working through 1883, it’s fine but mostly sucks. Slow pace and extremely corny voice over.

I haven’t for real, I have a hard time watching things that certain networks did, which seems odd but true.

 

Well, you’re really missing out because Burn Notice rocks. It doesn’t take itself too serious but it’s well written and all the performances are great, namely Bruce Campbell.

 

I’ll check it out, currently running out of decent things to watch anyway.

 

When it comes to cable networks I’ve always been FX>AMC>USA but Burn Notice is the exception to the rule. It’s fun as hell.

 

I’d say that’s pretty accurate, FX was always head and shoulders above the others with the shield, soa, niptuck, etc. AMC did some good things as well. I forgot USA did suits.

Yeah man, a show about crooked cops that premiered right after 9/11 does not work on paper but Chiklis and Goggins and Pounder and everyone else killed it
