Also thought it was decent for the most part, but getting really tired of how much of a sadist TS is and how much he likes to punish his audience. That said, loved the last line of the ep and what is portends for future seasons ...
Just finished the season. Best part of the show is hearing Billy Bob talk. He just has a gift. Also, I did not think that I would ever see a more chud-ish series than Yellowstone, but I stand corrected. Some of the viewpoints on the environment that are pushed are frankly wrong and disgusting
I assume the wife character was a commentary about the excess and fast money that the business brings or Sheridan jerked off watching Varsity Blues on cable the night before he started writing this. We may never know.
I really enjoyed that season even with flaws Sepinwall iirc acted like the finale of the Jodie Foster True Detective was amazing television then shit all over this, he fucking sucks Make me a fucking critic
Finished Lioness and yeah it is classic Sheridan with some ridiculous parts and cringy dialogue but the action scenes were enough to make it enjoyable, would recommend. Going to start Landman
i am watching landman as background "entertainment" while i do some mindless work and it's thus far one of the worst things i've ever watched. i am perplexed that this same guy wrote sicario and hell or high water. just laughably bad cardboard characters and what seems to an attempt to set women back by like 20 years
Just started Landman and realize the house/pool that John Hamm’s character occupies is one I have worked on numerous times. Neat.
On season 2 of Lionness now. Might be my favorite so far. randomly remembered Rip getting a rattlesnake in a cooler and throwing it at Roarke. Just the most absurd thing ever
Paramount+ officially renewed Landman for a second season last week, but there was a clear indication the announcement was coming from the show's popularity and production getting underway. According to Nielson data, the series was extremely popular for a streaming prestige drama, ranking in the top 10. Paramount+ reported that the show also had the most-watched global premiere and finale of any series in the history of the streamer.
just watched the first 3 episodes and couldn't agree more. what an unbelievably bad show...the female characters are the worst written characters of any show I've ever seen
