Spoiler Big thing that stuck out to me is all of them had those yellow gas monitors on and none of them had them turned on when going to close that valve off? Never happening irl, especially with a crew that’s supposed to be as experienced as they were.
Sheridan has no idea how to write women and he’s been sniffing his own farts for too long. Guy is a total hack now
Watched a Taylor Sheridan triple header last night, started with the third episode of landman, then watched the sixth episode of lioness season two, and then the 11th episode of Yellowstone season five. so for those keeping score, these are the remaining episodes for their respective seasons: Landman - 7 more, one drops every Sunday until done Lioness - 2 more, same schedule Yellowstone - 3 more, same schedule ...
That's true, He either writes them as if a guy was talking or as if this is how guys want them to talk ...
couldn’t get over how gross the stuff with Billy Bob’s daughter was. I know the actor is in her 20s, but she was playing a high schooler and the camera kept lingering on her tits and ass. Super weird choice in the most charitable explanation, and insanely gross in the worst.
Actress is 27 playing 17. They pretty much did the same thing with the Mom and the girl wearing the bikini in the coffee kiosk. If your Objection is the age she's supposed to be playing, It would appear the makers of the show do not care at all about any such distinctions ...
It's called comic relief. Dude is trying to work and avoid the way too young hottie, and not be creepy, but he's still a dude. That wasn't funny to you?
Think nudity with a 27 year old playing a 17 year old is over the line but don’t see anything wrong so far If the actress was 17 then yeah but don’t get the outrage
I like how Billy Bob is managing to keep the intenseness of his job and his intense over the top Texas family in check and it remains quirky, but also has its serious moments that land.
Honey, go take a xanax Feels like this needs to be said to most the Ohio State fanbase at any sign of adversity
I love that the star QB who’s going to Tech is named Ryder Strong Sampson and he’s being played by a 30 year old. Def enjoying this show so far though. Brilliant cast.
Thought that was a great episode. The dinner scene with Billy Bob and the girlfriend was especially good.
The lawyer had me nervous because in all reality the company was not at fault for the deaths of those workers. That was all on them. Every single action they did that led to the accident was all on them and not the company.
Oh it’s become our Monday morning water cooler talk about what all is wrong with the show in terms of how they’re working. Spoiler 1. Every single person had a gas monitor on their vests/shirt and none of them had them turned on. They look like yellow pagers and are clearly visible but not screeching an alarm in the shot. 2. Never in 1 million years would anyone hit a pipe wrench with metal hammer on a live line. They’d use a brass hammer or hard plastic one so there’s no spark. 3. You would never use a pipe wrench to shut off a valve. All valves should be shut off with their manual levers or wheels. If they can shut that one off you just go to the next one further down the line and shut it off. You don’t start using a pipe wrench and hammer on it. 4. They were turning the wrench towards open and not close. They were supposed to be an elite crew so none of them would be hitting a pipe wrench, let alone continuing to do so knowing it’s the wrong size. 5. If someone is maimed on an oil rig they don’t just send up another guy immediately to take his place. That whole thing would be shut down for a week for investigation. 6. No one, and I mean no one, is dumb enough to climb onto a rack of pipe that’s not secure. That was a huge cringe for me because even if someone was dumb enough to try it they would have been yanked back by anyone that saw them trying to do it.
I think they are trying to hit the layman over the head with it being a dangerous job. Years ago, I was dealing with a situation for work and wondering how these young unsophisticated guys were living in brand new houses and driving 100k pick ups while behaving like idiot teenagers. Someone explained to me they were all offshore oil workers.
It’s not a broad generalization. It is dangerous and pays really well. It is a very dangerous job and the vast majority of the people who work in that industry follow safety protocols. Doesn’t take anything away from the show tbh. All the petty shit I posted means nothing to the story.
the show would be so much better if wife and daughter had their storylines/screentime cut in half. the senior center stuff..smh.
Seemed like he died but I’m not 100% sure and didn’t watch the preview for the finale. The only thing I’m expecting is for Sheridan to cast himself to play some tool of a character with Sydney Sweeney playing his girlfriend.
Every conversation between Larter and BBT feels like a dad scolding his daughter. The Cooper storyline is really the only one I care about atm.
I thought the season was good and the finale was solid. Some of it was just totally over the top like the nursing home shit, and I don’t care at all about daughter’s relationships. Pretty good overall though and I’ll keep watching for season 2.
