Agree. I'll add that her watching that scary nuclear holocaust show motivated her to do that as well.
I do agree with that, i was just wondering why she did what she did and the whole "Im going to miss her comment". Thanks for clearing it up for me bic
Well, that Korean woman (can't remember her name) is probably her first genuine friend. She became really close with her and the family. To put duty over a personal friend was probably the hardest thing she had to do as an agent.
I assume though it was going to be a hush hush thing and she wouldnt lose the friendship that quickly. Eventually yes, but going on what Bic said she would have to keep that relationship as well as the one with her husband.
Elizabeth in season 1 would've shot Elizabeth last night for treason for asking for the Centre to find another way to get the access codes. It will also be interesting to see where Paige goes from here - she definitely turned a corner towards her parents' world at the end.
I almost wonder if it was something as harmless as getting word to Martha's parents that she was alive and well and it ended up being just a complete disaster. Spoiler: Breaking Bad spoiler Kinda like Ted in Breaking Bad
I think it was much more simple as asking him if he might relay some information for a payout. They knew he was the one that took all the blame for the Martha situation and thought he might be spiteful? Of course he never would and, well, the situation escalated beyond what either side wanted. It's just gonna add to Stan's anti-Soviet mentality. I'm super interested in seeing Phil/lizabeth's pro-action to Pastor Tim's wife and her threat of the tape.
I just started S1 a week ago, and binged through half of S2 today. This show is great, and I'm glad I'm behind and get to binge to catch up. Just watched the ep with the Russian Jew physicist who defected (yes, I said that in the Borat voice). The ending when the attacker drives off in the car was phenomenal. But the convo between Elizabeth and Phillip about Paige going to church was lights out spectacular: "That's how they get them as children, with laughing and singing songs!" "I want to eat dinner later. You can't think about praying when you're hungry." Just great TV.
The family/spy dynamic is so wonderfully done. Season 3 is one of the best seasons of TV I've ever watched. I'm jealous of you watching it for the first time.
Andy GreenwaldVerified account@andygreenwald Break out the vodka! THE AMERICANS, aka the best show on TV, has been renewed by FX for two final seasons.
a week behind so i'm avoiding the last page here, but i'm a fan of this decision. a show like this needs a definitive end (something i'm sure they had in mind all along) and it's now something we're all heading to. can't wait
2017 season will be 13 episodes while the 2018 season will be 10. Love the show, also can't wait to see how it ends.
For those that DVR this check tonight's recording. Some guides are screwed up and don't have the episode airing tonight so you'll need to manually set it to record tonight..
Kind of let down by that finale, tbh. Not surprised since there are still two seasons left but I figure something bigger would happen.
Totally agree. All season I was expecting a Hank on the toilet type ending until they renewed it for 2 seasons. Kinda took a lot of the suspense away.
I watched and thanks Codename Duchess for the DVR tip, mine wasn't set to record. That finale was horseshit. Ooooo now Stan knows that there are spies with two kids...only interesting thing to me was dude getting his diplomatic papers stripped and being sent packing.
The mischa storyline is pretty big and they closed out two characters Beeman still crushing it. Needs that rematch in racquetball after a long work bender
Agree on the letdown although I'm surprised he slipped and gave Intel before he died. If you are Stan how do you not look at your neighbors again especially after having a huge suspicion in season 1?
show going to hit a little closer to home now given current events not the typical escape from reality you seek while watching TV
