Ran a disappointingly slow half this morning; 1:32:38, 18 seconds slower than my PR. Running in the rain, even if it's light, makes me feel like I'm wearing cinder blocks on my feet.
Gonna be some amazing racing tonight in San Juan Capistrano the NAU men will race amongst some of the world's top distance athletes including the 2021 Olympic men's 1500-meter gold medal winner and Olympic record holder, Jakob Ingebrigsten, Olympian Hassan Mead, prestigious professional and renowned collegiate champion Edward Cheserek, and many more https://tracklnd.com/meet/trackmeet

Afternoon 5 miler along the beautiful suburban landscape of Boca Raton, FL. Almost summer temps, 92F heat index
Signed up for my first marathon in October. I’m starting Hal Higdon’s novice training plan. What tips do you all have to make sure I don’t die?
Yep But also set an A goal and a B goal and work towards that. And know that you probably won’t hit your A goal because marathons are fucking hard. Your B goal should be “just finish”. After you get one under your belt, you can decide if you like the distance and want to pursue a certain time.
Ran a 10K this morning, and I think the course was very short. When I crossed the finish line, my phone had me at 9.5K, so I kept running until I hit 10K. I rechecked my route to ensure I stayed on course, and I did. Asked everyone else if their devices had them short, and they all did, but generally were closer to 10K than I was. Still PR'd by a minute (41:41 according to my phone, 39:32 was my chip time.)
Dude finally gets caught and they're at commercial fuck. Let's go Kiprop from Arkansas gets him at the 8K mark
Cornelius Suttree I appreciate you posting here. Was able to record last night's show and watched the 10k. Crazy/great race. I thought the FSU dude would finish well but nope. Can't believe the Campbell dude finished in the top 5 - that is nuts for how he went out. Also towards the end I was like "that NAU dude will win, I know Cornelius says the NAU runners are the best that's probably why he posted".
Nico Young is coming baby what a race Jacobs right there out front too Olin Hacker wins it for Wisconsin at 13:27.73. Had a 54.62 final lap Spoiler
6:30am heat index 89F cool cool cool feels like soup out here. Long runs later this summer are going to suck
Question for you runners.... daughter started cross country conditioning a couple weeks ago (she had complained about some knee pain probably a month or so ago during softball season), so I took her to the doctor on Friday and he said she probably has patellar tendinitis. Obviously the best thing is to rest and stretch the legs out. Is there anything else you'd guys recommend? Have any of you experienced this? Maybe riding a bike would help stretch? I ordered her one of those straps that goes around your knee that is supposed to help with the discomfort.
Link me? Fiancée is struggling right out of the gates with knee stiffness and some shooty pains on impact. Think that product would help?
Cal Poly hired Ryan Vanhoy away from Ole Miss. He was responsible for shaping them into a distance power Nice hire. Good for him to get a chance to coach in a locale like SLO
Been having a bitch of a time losing weight and want to incorporate running into my routine. However, I hate running and am terrible at it. But I’m willing to power through that. Was looking into that Joggo app that’s like a running trainer. Anyone on here ever heard of it/used it? And if so, is it worth it?
