Supply is going to be a giant issue this year. I think it's going to tank most black Friday deals but we'll see.
Just found that there's a gesture called quick tap. Tap on the back of your Pixel twice and you can set it for different things. I chose Show Notifications. Works fairly well.
They said they stacked it so they could make it bigger. So when you tap your phone just to see the time you can see it better.
I can't get over how big this phone is, big adjustment coming from the 5. Gonna need to buy a smartwatch now so I can listen to music without carrying this thing.
Still haven't received mine from FedEx. I had to open a claim with them on Friday and haven't heard anything since.
Coming from the Oneplus 8, this phone barely has a bigger screen, but feels twice the size. Also, this fingerprint scanner is awful! My OnePlus 8 battery is trash compared to how long it lasted when new. That, and the better camera was really the only reason I bought this P6P. I'm 3 days in this battery doesn't last as long as my 14 month old OP8. I'm going to get a new battery for my OP8 and just use the P6P for the camera. I thought having a phone that worked with AT&T's 5g would be nice but it doesn't get faster speeds either.
This will improve over the next week or two with Androids adaptive battery. I wouldn't give up on it just yet. I've read, but haven't tested, that 5G is a battery hog for whatever reason. If you're not getting faster speeds it might be worth forcing the phone on LTE for now
I don't think it's about hand size. For me it's just changing from a phone with almost the identical screen size, but this phone seems so much thicker and clunkier. I'm used to it now. I just can't pick up my OP8 because it reminds me how much smaller and better Google could have made this one.
I like this phone the least of the Google phones I've had. I'll live it with but the battery isn't good and the fingerprint scanner is fucking terrible.
I was able to get around the fingerprint scanner just by adding the finger twice and for the second one I really just used the tip and sides and now it works great.
Yeah my 3a xl had a two year old battery that performed comparably. I mean part of the great part about a new phone is that new phone battery life. This is only marginally better than what I just had
Yeah, my OnePlus 8 had amazing battery for about a year, and then it started dive bombing, so I bought this. This doesn't do as well as the old phone at all.
Kind of makes me nervous about where the battery life will be in a year. Maybe jumping on a 7 next year
My wife slam dunked her phone today. Been trying for the last hour to buy a 5 on the Google store and it just won't process. Just take my damn money
Main, 4x, UW. I used night sight and then after learned that you're supposed to set the focus point to near/far in the settings. Eager to try it out again using that.
So I figured out how to turn 5G off today. They made it kind of difficult, but it's tremendously helped my battery out. Also, I finally got my Spigen rugged armor case and it's smaller than the spigen hybrid case that came first, so the phone feels better. It's growing on me.
I have an unused Pixel 6 pro Spigen hybrid case clear/black if someone wants it. Cost is just your label.
The 0.7 Lens has a time and place but man does it introduce a lot of grain into the darks/blacks. It's just cranking up the ISO 0.7 lens Standard 1.0 lens
Don't at me, but I think this year is probably the second time Google gave us good camera hardware (4x lens in P6 Pro), the other time being the main sensor in the P1.
Got my pixel 5a set up yesterday and realized that I'm not receiving texts. I can send them and make and receive calls. Same issue on Textra and messages. Updated my apps and OS. HELP TMB
The 4a 5g. Called google and apparently there's an issue with verizon and the 5a specifically. They had to do a cdma-less provisioning, if anyone runs into it
I randomly lose the ability to text people individually on the 4XL. Can send attachments to them and text them as part of a group. But not individual text messages. So random and annoying
Pulling the trigger on the $399 5A or $549 6 this week. The 6 pro is out. Worth the $150 for the upgrade?
My 6pro battery life sucked at first but I feel like its gotten much much better with the adaptive battery. Or I am just a gullible sheeple.
This happens to me with one specific person. I have searched the internets high and low for a cure and have found nothing.
Getting the 6 set up now. Now to decide what case to get. I've always been an otter box defender series user. The bulkiness never bothered me.
Got the 6pro yesterday but now the phone won't work with the charger I have at work. Anyone have a recommendation for a good charger to leave at my desk?
No. It's the block that came with my OnePlus 7t Pro and I'm assuming the fast charge OnePlus uses isn't compatible. The random one I have at home works. I'll probably get the Google charger but if theirs a good one for a little cheaper I'm open. It also doesn't charge in my truck using the Android Auto USB port.
