all I did was agree with someone who said it wasn't that memorable don't hang that part on me paulski sitting out there watching the thread burn while he dodged any questions
I liked the part where they rang the bell then through him on the beach and Mr Maverick had a quick existential moment.
You're actually putting skin in the game if you say you are willing to cause their death, Bruce is clean
he's telling you that he believes he has the moral authority to decide who does and doesn't deserve to be treated like a human being on TMB.
So, "kill yourself" in the imperative voice is haram, but a declarative statement like "I wish you would kill yourself" is good to go
I think the suicide is the haram part, but for instance wishing testicular cancer that moves to his brain on him is halal.
you can't just make up words and throw them in the middle of the sentence like this that's now how it works
my favorite part of the movie was when maverick equipped the flugglehammer and proceeded to shoot the migs out of the sky
They talked about it on the Rewatcheables but had anyone else heard the theory that Maverick died during the Mach 9 run and from the part he walked into the diner and on was a dream sequence?
No. This too is a dumb theory and I won’t entertain it. Frankly, anyone posting such nonsense should kill themselves.
I will say there are definitely some posters on this board that would make the world a slightly better place by offing themselves. I won’t name names out of respect for their mothers who I’m sure at the time didn’t realize they were making a massive mistake by not swallowing on the night of their conceptions.
I agree, especially when you were talking Cruise here. Dude totally thinks he could eject going Mach 10 with barely a scratch.
It’s pretty pleasant place. We bash Halsey, talk about how great jamesis and dalvin are as people, worship desantis, and we all finish it off with couple praise Bobby’s. we haven’t told anyone to kill themselves yet though. Working on being better posters like lyrtch
I never said it wasn't that memorable, I said it was predictable. And feel free to leave me out of this conversation. Thanks muchly.
Hey, original take. Wait over 3 months after release date and watch it at home while scrolling through your phone and feel unimpressed. Cool, cool.
Had never seen top gun 1 before watched last night. Enjoyed it maverick today blew it out of the water
I like both the same. I saw the first one coming back from Korea in 1988 and thought it was great so I have that nostalgia. It’s the first movie I remember watching. Maverick was the first time I had seen a movie in a huge theater in ten or so years. Had the same effect on me. I’m glad a sequel lived up to the hype as only may be 1/2 dozen have. If I didn’t see it in a theater I might not feel the same. Maverick is in my top five favorite non- comedy movies I’ve seen in the theater. 1993 Jurassic Park 1998 Saving Private Ryan 2000 Gladiator 2008 Dark Knight 2022 Top Gun Maverick
jesus motherfucking christ that was the best action movie i've ever seen matrix 2 is the only thing that compares for me
