I can't wait.
I just hope it has a killer soundtrack. The first one is an all timer.
Just let Kenny Loggins do his thing.
Mustang, this is Voodoo 3, remaining MiGs are bugging out.
This may be the most amazing movie ever made, but they totally fucked up by having Miles Teller play Goose’s son, call sign “Rooster”, instead of Ryan Gosling as, you know, fucking “Gosling”
Ok this looks dope
I clicked it and then decided not to watch as I want to see as little as possible.
It honestly doesn’t reveal anything you don’t already know based on the trailers. Mavericks a bad ass and has no real equals essentially
I watched it. It's going to be so good.
I can't think of any movie that I've ever seen more than once in the theater. We won't get to see this for another two weeks and I already want to see it again.
The Gaga song is a banger
Agreed, but that's par for the course for her.
the music in the background
I saw the original twice in the theaters.
I only saw it once in the theater, but I wore the hell out of a VHS copy after that.
Been years since I watched it but turning on the og now. It's on Netflix fwiw.
I just watched it the other day since it had been quite a while. Still holds up.
This movie being 37 years old hurts my soul. I played the Nintendo game countless hours. Landing was a bitch.
This was amazing as a kid and looks like absolute shit now
First time I saw it was 1987 flying back from South Korea
Will be visiting an IMAX theatre for the first time in forever.
Landing? Refueling was the struggle
That game was brutally difficult. And yes, landing was very hard.
If you have a Dolby theater I would recommend that. The sound and picture is next level.
This one was for SNES and it was incredible
Lol bruh I’m going to the biggest IMAX screen in my state with laser projection and 12 channel Dolby sound.
Not all imax have Dolby atmos or Dolby vision which is superior to Imax in my opinion.
Damn getting 96% on RT with almost 70 reviews
Kick the tires and light the fires, boys
Goose's kid was like 3-4 in the og, so he'd be 40+ now.
Time is a flat circle
In a deleted scene in the first one they froze some of goose's sperm. The scene was deleted from the final cut after it was apparent it didn't fit with the tone of the movie
Maverick would probably be pushing 70.
Tom Cruise is 59 so that’s the ceiling in Mavericks age guys wtf lol
Na he was early 20s in the film but yea Maverick has to be about 60 now.
Cruise was 24 when they filmed the og but theoretically Maverick could have been 30+. I don't think that's the case though.
Cruise can be weird and the scientology stuff seems problematic but I'm not sure I'll ever see a better movie star in my lifetime.
I think he’s the last of his kind. Guys who can get any movie made on name alone.
I honestly can’t even think of one movie he’s done over the last decade that I didn’t enjoy. Vanilla Sky may be the last one that I can think of.
Think that Mummy movie he did was pretty bad but I never saw it because it got awful reviews. I don't think I've ever thought he was bad in a movie, even in the bombs he's done
Movie star, or action star? Because I’d argue he’s not the best movie star of your lifetime.
Consistently makes good movies. These things are poorly defined I realize.
Oh yeah, good call. I actually did see that one. It definitely wasn’t great but still pretty watchable.
I mean over the last decade+ he consistently makes Mission Impossible movies and other things that are mostly mediocre.
He's been making movies for over 40 years. There's going to be stretches where they don't all land.
