Gotta stick to their greatest hits… & the releases this week were especially bad & even worse pricing
That is what spurred my post but they have plenty of models and color schemes that just don’t look good.
Thanks! I knew I wanted an IWC leather strap watch for a while but was torn on which one. Landed on this one because of the 7 day power reserve, full case back movement, and the 42.3 MM sized better for my larger wrist. Got a deal on it from the boutique watch fair and pulled the trigger
i want a 42mm gmt for travel, dont want anything that would lets say get unwanted attention like a pepsi thinking the seiko sport 5 might be the move but open to recs if anyone has one they love. dig the zulu time too but dont love the color variants so would need to see it in person.
the below might be the ugliest watch I've seen while searching....no offense if someone owns it here but kind of offense intended Spoiler
0-8k but in all likelihood sub 5k unless i'm smitten. and yeah i dont want to think twice about wearing it every day of the trip. a 10k pepsi I wouldn't wear everywhere but also don't want homage variants, so no tudor black bays either.
Tudor has really classic looking GMT's for $4k, no? Whoops literally missed the final 6 words of your post lol, sorry
like 100m to be safe, im not going scuba diving with the thing but would like to be able to swim or shower if i forget its on
i dig it, https://www.longines.com/en-us/p/watch-longines-spirit-l3-812-4-93-6 is another one I've liked in similar style/price point
This is my travel watch but not something I’d consider daily low key wearer. 42mm and the Beijing snub for Hong Kong is a extra nice touch
always dug this watch but view world timers a little different, more of an art piece than function is how i view it for obvious reasons. how thick is it? i like the omega worldtimer too but its thiccccc
I'd have you seriously reconsider your stance on no Tudors because that's probably the best made watch in that price point and is seemingly what you're looking for. I'd also think that if you look hard enough, you could get a used Rolex GMT (probably all black or the "coke" bezel) for under $10k. Under $8k, I typically think Omega, Tudor, or Grand Seiko. After some quick searching, I still think Tudor makes the best GMT of the 3. I liked the Longines and Oris posted above.
https://www.seikowatches.com/global-en/products/presage/spb221j1 i like this line but dont love the date hand
On second thought, the "5 star Zulu time" font on the Longines kind of ruins it for me. Think I prefer the Oris of those 2.
ivory dial is nice will be in japan in march and intend to set aside some shopping time, tax breaks + supposedly japanese pre-owned market is very soft might get me buying something
Ya I like the white dial Tudor more than anything posted so far. The Black Bay Pro is solid too. My vote is for 1 of these 2.
