two things I think - bought almond meal instead of almond flour, and didn't put parchment paper between the pizza and the stone. just basic shit. will be trying it again tomorrow.
I eat a shot ton of green beans, asparagus, brussel sprouts, collard greens, etc. Had a big ol spinach salad for dinner. Lots of bacon and blue cheese on it.
Not sure if you have. I am at about 190 right now and I find it near impossible to get much below that without starving myself. My fear is that without carbs I won’t be able to run or cycle as much as I do. My weaknesses are during football season I like grilling and drinking too much beer.
Assuming you just have average muscles then you can lose more for the sacrifice of the race. You’ll gain it back. Plus I’d need to know your weekly mileage. I can elaborate if need be. Maybe bump running thread. Ran competively my whole life (qualified for Boston) and I’m your height. a.tramp
At 190-195 I am average when it comes to “muscle” no idea about body fat % so I won’t speculate. I wear size 31/32 waist if that means anything. At my current weight running more than 20 or so miles a week starts to fuck with my knees and ankles so I try to stay around that (5-6 miles about 3 times a week) but I cycle a shit ton over 100 miles a week usually closer to 130. I throw in some strength and yoga too. I am pretty active but like I said beer and sweets are my downfall plus with all the cardio I do I eat a shit ton of carbs.
Easy fix...... 1st step: Get your carbs through veggies. Sugar through fruit. Fat/protein through meat. No bread, pizza, beer, etc. Keep calories low. As you get thinner your energy will eventually adjust. 2nd step: Increase mileage, which will be easier when lighter. You need more than 20+ a week to progress in anything higher than a 5k, let alone a marathon. I don’t foresee your running times decreasing very well through cycling. I don’t plan to run a full until LA 2020. Right now it’s a couple half’s and a few 10ks a year. Mostly my running is for pleasure because I enjoy the solitude. Sorry if you or someone else posted it but is their a fool proof keto for dummies thing I could/should read that lays out exactly what I can (fruits and vegetables) and can’t eat? Is veggie pastas okay?
https://whatmollymade.com/peanut-butter-fat-bombs/ If you need some fat in your life. I like to add some finishing salts to the top.
well, I was suggesting you go light-Keto. Just focus on meat/veggie/fruit and nothing else. No extra carbs via the millions of other foods. But fwiw, below ground veggies are highest carb https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto/vegetables
You won’t be in ketosis, but if your calorie in and calorie out is low (-1,300), plus low carbs, you should be good. Just keep in mind, light-Keto means no ice cream, no chips salsa, no fries, it’s not just no bread. *further add logic from Paleo diet https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-...althy-eating/in-depth/paleo-diet/art-20111182
Got caught having to eat dinner at a church function. Just had two pieces of grilled chicken breast but they put some sort of red sauce on top. I scraped it off as best as I could and just had the chicken with a little bit of salad and ranch dressing. Could’ve been worse but I bet I slightly went over 20 grams today. I had 3 left on my tracker.
Thread has my interest. Someone give me a how to and I’ll suck your dick or like a few of your posts Thanks and god bless
Made cauliflower fried rice with chicken last night...not bad. Stopped drinking pop over the weekend and felt like crap until this morning.
I panicked and went to a Mediterranean buffet restaurant. I’m flying blind out here folks. No clue what this salad dressing is but it tastes suspiciously good. Got gyro meat and “Italian” green beans. Roasted cauli. Took a pic. Y’all can judge later.
Delivery guy: Going light it looks like huh? Me: Ha guess so Delivery: Yeah, normally you're a large soda, 4 soft tacos, and chips/queso. Me: :looks down at feet and walks away:
I've felt like absolute shit the past two days - exhausted, whole body hurts and today I can't stop shitting. Guessing this could be the keto flu?
Doing WW and not keto but tortillas are awful on that as well so we started to use bib lettuce when we make Mexican now as a lettuce wrap instead of tortillas. When we go out to eat Mexican most places will supply that if you ask.
