With Columbus trading Laine, there is a part of me wondering if they would consider an offer sheet for Seider or Raymond. It’s very unlikely (I am not sure either guy would even consider wanting to play for CBJ) but Columbus has a ton of cap space now.
The middle class of offer sheets is the sweet spot for teams, which is why I doubt someone would offer Raymond or Seider. Big name guys are always going to get matched but the margins are where teams can succeed.
MBN with two goals in Norway’s Olympic qualifier against France. Kids skill is so underrated. I think he’s gonna’ stick around in GR.
Pronman ranked our pipeline 14th. In his criteria he includes Raymond but Seider no longer qualifies. I’ve seen some people be outraged but Pronman puts a focus on high skill level and our current crop of young guys doesn’t have much of that right now. I think we are building a good foundation to be a consistent playoff team. Getting over the hump will take one or two guys developing at a greater level or a trade.
Player eligibility: All skaters who are 22 years old or younger as of Sept. 15, 2024, regardless of how many NHL games they’ve played, are eligible. Player heights and weights are taken from the NHL. Tool grades: Tool grades are based on a scale with six separate levels, with an eye toward how this attribute would grade in the NHL (poor, below-average, average, above-average, high-end and elite). “Average” on this scale means the tool projects as NHL average, which is meant as a positive, not a criticism. Skating, puck skills, hockey sense and compete for every projected NHL player are graded. Shot grades are only included if a shot is notably good or poor.
