There’s a Trans bit in it. I think he tried really hard to not attack trans people in it but it just didn’t land great. If that makes sense
I thought Bert killed his most recent special. I've never really found him that funny outside of the machine story but I definitely laughed a lot during Razzle Dazzle which has not been the case with any of his previous specials for me
The comedy scene is a family and one of Ethan's good friends runs several nights here so we get to see a lot of cool people pop up (Burr, etc)
Literally he is exactly the same in person as how he is on tv interviews or standup Will argue every point and they relentlessly shit-talk each other
Anyone that can get tied up and kidnapped by their assistant and have a good sense of humor about it is good in my book
Went and saw Bargatze tonight, and he was outstanding as usual. I thought this set blew away his last special. His dad opened for him and was really funny. He thanked everyone for supporting his son at the end of his set and got choked up talking about it, got a little dusty in the room.
Saw Nate Bargatze last night. It was my first comedy show. He did a lot of Nashville specific jokes, and had a couple of others that didn’t land, but I thought it was great.
Pretty wild to do Bridgestone in the round. Saw it broke the attendance record. Saw Aaron Weber a month or so back and I think he's going to be a bigger name in comedy in the not too distant future.
It was completely packed. Getting in was one of the bigger clusterfucks I’ve seen, but it was great once inside. His dad was really funny and sweet. His openers were the guys on the podcast with him. Dusty Slay was pretty funny.
new Mulaney is terrific news (especially if it’s the set he did last summer which was pretty damn hilarious) but he physically looks not great in this clip
I neither collect Pokemon cards nor baseball cards. But at least a Pokémon card has a function that exceeds what I can get from a quick google search of statistics. You can battle with them shits, right? That’s a point in favor of Spoiler pokémon
I mean, he’s 40, has lived through a drug problem, and finally doesn’t look 17. The standup itself is aces. It’s entirely personal, there’s no topical shit anywhere in it. I cry-laughed multiple times.
I thought the new Mulaney special was good (7 out of 10) and obviously very personal, but it was a little one note for 75+ minutes. It was nice to see him clean/sober because the last few years were interesting for him. (I’m looking at you trench coat and sunglasses covid interview on Meyers.) Knowing what we know now, Kid Gorgeous was quite the attempt to tell everyone he was an addict.
Watched the new Mulaney last night. It was good, but not as good as his first two. Spot on, especially the bolded.
saw Conner O'Malley in London (for the second time) last week. Incredibly funny act - go check it out when he goes back on tour in the US. He did the whole show in character as a founder/ceo of "Standup Solutions" an AI powered standup company pitching to an investor conference. A perfect representation of the twitter blue checkmark characters without ever feeling tired or repetitive
I dont understand the internet infatuation with Rife. I've watched his specials they were fine. But he's obviously an attractive dude and his crowd work stuff seems to do well in this clip comedy era we're in so w/e good for him.
