I keep getting Christina Pazsitzky content on my fyp on TikTok which is weird bc all my follows are highly libtarded. political humor can be funny but her shit is dangerously close to Bart’s act. What is segura thinking?
Recently came across Marina Franklin, though she’s been doing comedy for years. Searched her name and didn’t see anything on the board. Here are a few of clips from her special back in 2019. She’s hilarious.
Saw on FB that tickets to his shows are going for $200-400 each because of the strong interest he generates from female fans. If Andrew Schulz was better looking then he could charge $500 and up.
I’ve been very fortunate to see some absolutely great comedians live - Chappelle, Seinfeld, Mulaney, Segura, Burr, Attell, Morril, Bargatze, Normand, Gaffigan etc but over the 5-10 years or so Jeselnik is head and shoulders in a league of his own just outstanding and I highly suggest you go see him on this tour
also love jeselnik. saw him and marc maron (before i knew either of them) at a comedy club in nyc when i was right out of college and was just thinking of moving out there. very fond memories still. that would've been shakespeare material, iirc.
Not a special but has anyone seen joe pera? He’s coming to a pretty cool venue here so wondering if he’s worth going to see
I would watch a video of him and see if you dig his style, personally I love him, but he is not for everyone.
She’s the reason I quit listening to YMH. Rogan tier takes regularly but she’s really stupid and thinks being Gen X makes her tough or special or interesting.
The faces and delivery genuinely make this seem like someone doing a parody of this style of comedy. Like a SNL or Key and Peele skit. But I know she’s being serious.
real comedy would be one of her children dying from an allergic reaction now I’m not saying I want to see that happen, that’d be horrible. But I do love a punchline you never see coming
Apparently cocaine is the only thing that is inflation free; cost has been basically the same for years while quality has increased dramatically.
I looked at her Instagram to see what traction the post was getting on that platform…it said something like “the snowflakes on tiktok are mad at this clip” and then the comments are just blistering her
That’s just fuel for bad comedians like her. You know the material is good when everyone thinks it sucks. She’ll dig in and go with the tried and true “Comedy is supposed to challenge people. Make the audience think.” She thinks wearing a pink satin suit, making different yaofaces, and talking down to people is funny. Like everyone else, I had to stop with the YMH content because of her (amongst other things). Not just her takes, but how unfunny and unnatural she is in that setting. The only thing she has going for her is “woman who will participate with her husband watching scat porn”.
He's probably one of if not the biggest comics right now. Also, there's a thread on the private board.
It's easy to say that but he was already on an astronomical rise before the SNL shit happened. He won best new comic at Just For Laughs and started getting theaters right when it happened. But it didn't hurt him other than him taking most of a year or two off to rebuild.
He was on Rogan shortly thereafter. He absolutely got a career bump because of the whole thing. He's a mediocre comedian who found his niche so good on him but there's a space where mediocre white dudes can be grievance comics and do really well if they get "cancelled." He's there.
Just looked it up but it was 10 months after SNL that he went on Rogan. Rogan definitely put him over the top though.
10 months is nothing in a comedy career. Rogan put him so far ahead of where he would have been if he stayed on SNL. Usually those writers do that shit for years before they get a break. SNL did him a favor.
No question and him taking it was always baffling to me. And them offering it to him with, allegedly, no research.
There’s no way I’d put him on the level of Segura, Bargatze, Jeselnik, or Bert. Granted I don’t follow this closely.
