Our almost 6 year old loves and needs naps (he takes after his dad). He is starting kindergarten in September, so we have been trying to stop naps. He is a giant asshole when he doesn’t sleep (again takes after his dad) and I’m really not looking forward to the fall.
Maybe his kindergarten will be different, but I thought they usually allow naps still if the kid needs it?
Not sure what specifically this is in reference to but yes she does. Got MVP for her JV team earlier this week.
For those who got a pet after a kid was born, does anyone have thoughts of the earliest age where that's a healthy relationship for both child and pet? My youngest is 3 and a bit of a hellion, but a dog feels more manageable than it would have a year ago. I wonder if I'm tricking myself in thinking that.
Love our cat but when we travel over the holidays almost all of our neighbors are too so we have to pay for a real pet sitter that costs so much.
Let our two boys take a bunch of buddies on the family beach vacation and they acted as you’d expect…
We got this rascal when my youngest was 2. I think it depends on the breed though. Cavaliers main defense mechanism is to lick/love you more so they've always done great together even when he's gotten rough with him.
I also have a Cavalier (Tri color) and he rules. great with the kids. My 7 and 2 year old boys don't care too much about the dog but my 5 year old girl loves him. They have been close since we got him 2 years ago.
received this email from daycare Spoiler my wife is sorta freaking (this is our youngest’s class) but to me it just reads as if a kid with an incomplete immunization record was in attendance but there’s nothing to suggest they were/are ill. obv a biiiiig fuck up on the daycare’s part and my concern is more what this kind of oversight portends. otherwise we’ve had a good experience.
So a kid with incomplete vaccines and was asymptomatic was around the other kids? Seems like not a big deal and they’re doing the right thing to correct the error.
yea thats the way i read it no surprise but it didn’t help when i mentioned we’re probably around dozens of un/partially vaccinated kids anytime we go to the zoo, museum, etc.
Where does your kid go to daycare? Is this all that happened or did they find out the director is an anti-vaxxer nutjob? Seems excessive unless the kid has measles or something.
it’s affiliated with a local church and she’s been there forever apparently. would seem excessive if this was an isolated thing so I’m guessing it’s not.
Depends on the breed and how accepting you are of the fact that you'll be the only one taking care of it. Need a dog/breed that's gonna be cool with bunch of kids/people randomly coming in and out of your house.
Not sure how my wife does it but our countertop looks like Tony Montana’s desk every time she makes a bottle of formula.
Proud dad moment. My pool key wasn't working, so I went to the car to call my wife to get the numeric key. Turned around and my 5 year old had found a stick, fished it through a hole in the fence, and opened it from the other side
We use the shit out of the bottle washer / sterilizer. Not sure why she decided to skip the nespresso formula one.
Third time in two weeks my son has blown out his diaper at night and then rolled around in his crib. Don’t like how this is trending.
Normally try to make my daughter go to the bathroom before we go out to do something but oftentimes when she really doesn't need to go she makes a huge fuss. We were going to walk in a short trail yesterday before going to a festival. Of course she needed to pee while we're out in the woods. Since there was no one around I was trying to tell her that she could go in the bushes and before I got a chance to tell her to completely take off her shorts and panties she started blasting piss all over them and of got upset. Like the goddamned Niagra rushing Probably the only time I wished she had boy parts lol.
To be honest I have no idea how girls squat and pee and don't get it all over their pants It's one of life's great mysteries
It started okay for just a second and then she couldn't squat completely still, basically standing straight up after that.
We haven't thought to buy one for 7-year-old daughter yet I guess. Should have been fine if you took an extra five seconds to listen but maybe your idea is easier.
