Hell yeah. Love every Lumpy I catch but I thought this one started really smoking with Bronzeback. Anytime Jarrod is all over a > that’s my happy place.
1st in a 3 volume series of unreleased Garcia-Grisman stuff to be released this Sat https://liveforlivemusic.com/news/u...a-david-grisman-recordings-bare-bones-series/
Set one Friday night was one of the worst I’ve ever heard in 80+ shows going back to 2003. Sunday night set two was one of, if not the, best second sets I’ve ever heard. The duality of Phish. Now to bide my time until Mondegreen…
Going to Grand Rapids tomorrow is not impossible for me, and I feel like I will regret it if I don't. Would not exactly be convenient and I would be going solo.
I couldn’t be more jealous of the Mondegreen attendees. Can’t believe it’s been 9 years since a Fest.
I’m GA camping arriving Wednesday. I know Drew Swinney Esq will be there too. We’re good peeps and will meet up. Pack moisture wicking clothes, gold bond, and extra toilet paper. Pretty much everything else can be taken care of on site. I’ve got a pretty detailed packing list with my brother, so PM me if you need any advice. Phish festivals are the goddamn best.
We'll be GA but not sure which side. Depends on how many are in line Wed I guess. If you see this hat say hello
Watching the Alpine Simple... A. There is like 4 peaks B. I've never heard crowd noise pick up on Live Phish feeds like that
Being a regular first thing in the morning bowel movement guy makes festivals even better. Don’t even need the coffee or nicotine to get me going
We have a camping gear list and a shopping list on the Anylist app we have been using. And I sketched out the 12v wiring of our tent glamping stuff. Will still probably forget something because that’s how I roll.
I assume all of this stuff will be making the trip back home? You guys flying or driving? Drove to Magnaball and it was super fun, but also an 18 hour haul
Yeah, we are driving. About 7 hours and will stay near Annapolis tomorrow night. I’m going to run security cables and locks though everything I can like I’m Home Depot.
We ran Deer Creek ‘22 on a little Jackery 300 with solar panel: https://www.jackery.com/products/explorer-300-portable-power-station
Yeah, I did the math as I was buying, and we’ve been camping about every two weeks this summer trying stuff out. I’ve been using the battery for camping and travel for a couple years now. Before the fridge it could run fans/lights and charge devices for many days without needing any input. When we got the fridge I added solar panels and have up to 400w I can put out. It can go a day and a half with no sun with my current setup. Full sun with 400w it will top back up in a few hours without worrying about panel angle.
That's really cool to see someone grow up listening to them and appreciate how cool it is to live out a dream by playing with them. And very cool of the band to let him jam for so many songs. Makes me shake my head at widespread panic, because they have been on life support for years and could use a jolt of energy like Billy, who is also a fan of theirs
He's been on a 2+ year tear living out his dreams on his favorite bands stages, and playing out his own on his own stages. Just this year he sat in with Phish, Tool, Primus, and Greensky Bluegrass. Has had Bobby sit in for full set of Dead tunes, Doc’s 100 night, Ryman Grand Ole Opry theme, Ryman Unplugged theme. Plus all his Halloween stuff. Incredible run.
The Mark Maron WTF podcast with Billy is incredible. Great listen. With that said Billy didn’t get into jam music until he was an adult and started sitting in with Greensky Bluegrass around Michigan. Really good listen and he’s an incredible story teller and had a very interesting child hood
Is the 10x30 accurate? I'm going in 1 car with 3 other dudes, and we're all bringing our own tents. I've been wondering if we would have enough space for 4 tents + EZ Up + car.
Also Away From The Mire may be the most well written modern song. It’s about as a perfect as you can get
Idk. If you look at the photos from Firefly, the spaces look bigger than 30 long. We have been planning for the worst on that. I’m sure some spaces will be bigger than others.
Honestly don't know what this thread is about, I figured this fit. I've been jamming to a couple 80s dance songs lately, I'm old but was a child during the 80s. I'd love to create/expand a playlist. You grey-sacks have anything on this level?!
