Thinking of upgrading to the Bike+, but given the current state of the company does that seem like a wise investment?
I wouldn’t trust a new machine released by a sinking company. Like all have said, I’m sure they’ll eventually get bought out, but that seems like a big risk.
I did and think it’s better but working thru a handlebar issue with 2 technicians visiting with no luck
Emma will always be BAE but I love Kendall. It’s refreshing to take a class with someone who you know also deals with mental health issues. She is so authentic when she speaks and opens up. Have taken other mental health classes with her and loved them. Took her “anxious” class and idk how to explain it but you could feel her struggles you could tell she wasn’t reading off of a script. Anyway if you deal with mental health issues I highly recommend taking her classes.
I’m glad you had that experience. I took that class for the music but I figured it would be a helpful and useful class for those who need it
thank you. they are helpful. It’s like a quick therapy session with someone who understands and sees you. If that makes sense. It’s cathartic in an extremely emotional the room got dusty kind of way. The way she set up the class simulated an anxiety attack. Not exactly but it was a good simulation.
My warranty is expiring on my bike+. Should I extend it? we don’t use it nearly as much as we should, but it drives with bent wheels (they replaced) and then something within the pedals/crank was bad and they sent a repairman out.
Not my highest output per minute but just had my highest single ride output, 45 minutes 463 output 15 miles. Never went below 63 resistance first month I was struggling to go up to 50 resistance
Been a rough May. Was not feeling well with norovirus for a few weeks to startthe month. Finally got a few rides in a few weeks ago. About 10 days ago, I slid in a slow pitch softball game due to my cleat giving out and now have a strawberry all the way down my leg that hurts like a bitch. It's healing, but I have to dress it every day and don't want to get it sweaty and run the risk of infection. My May summary will look outstanding with...3ish total rides.
so you like the lower cadence and higher resistance stuff obviously? That’s tougher for me… makes my knees hurt
Yeah very much so, I tend to lose focus during rides (watching sports on tv) and can’t stay consistent with high speeds
well I applaud you… I prefer to ride steady in the 50-53 range and PowerZone ride I can do a bit more in output than where you’re at but not by much and you’re definitely riding more weight than I can turn in the saddle … once resistance gets over 60 I have to get out of the saddle and I can only do that for a few mins before I die
Tech no showed 2 appointments this week. Got fed up and asked for an escalation with Peloton. 5 minutes later, they scheduled me a new frame to be delivered next weekend. I appreciate that but really pissed at how long this has taken and how many times I had to initiate contact because of Select Express’s ineptitude.
Got my new bike in. It’s pretty incredible how a month off completely changes how it feels. Just did a 30 min ride where my heart rate averaged the same as my last PR. Difference was that my output was 90 points lower.
All I’m reading is your other bike was juiced and we need to start adding asterisks and calling it your juiced era.
My hope is that it makes the instructors shut the hell up some, but I think that is wishful thinking.
Some of the OG interactions are pretty great. Denis telling people to shut up and Robin calling out someone on the phone made me laugh.
nothing makes me back out of a potential class faster than seeing: (1) AC/DC's Thunderstruck; (2) Fort Minor's Remember the Name; or (3) a hip-hop playlist that isn't explicit
Every once in a while, there would be someone in the front row that would be distracting, in an annoying way, but that was scarce. There was an old 60 minute ride, I loved and had it bookmarked for years, where a guy would keep making a Whoooo noise whenever the instructor said anything to the crowd. To this day I still want to hunt him down Taken style. Ruined a great ride for me.
I took it and reminded me why I never ride with her. Just awful and the audience wasn’t even that bad.
I don’t ride with her as much as I used to but that’s something I liked about her at the beginning. I needed the motivation because I hated indoor cardio
I get some people need that motivation during a ride. It just annoys me after a while and I end up turning down the instructors volume. Most people don’t like Wilpers but thats why I like him. Just get on, and do your thing. The Auto follow really helps out. My fight is always to get on the bike. lol
I think what I mean by motivation is not to workout but to stay engaged in an indoor cardio workout. Like I said have always hated indoor cardio and to me her energy was infectious. I don’t need as much anymore but it was nice when I did. The only one I can’t stand and don’t work out with is Jenn Sherman.
She’s not my favorite, but she’s grown on me lately. She typically has playlists I like, and I like her Sold Out Show series
Yeah she’s ok. I used to do her morning 60 minutes ride before football so I wouldn’t feel so bad if I drank all day.
After taking 2 weeks off (lazy) I'm currently on a 10 day streak. For that, enjoy this tiktok I was targeted for Spoiler
I can’t believe it’s been almost four and a half years since i got this bike. So glad I got it. Did ride 2500 with Emma this morning and got my shout out lol. My legs are dead but I still did okay. Also I might not be hitting new PRs now but I’m improving. Did a ride a couple days that I didn’t realize I’d already done. I checked the output and noticed my consistency has paid off. I nice little improvement over 5 months.
Wait am I reading this right? Did you have a top cadence of 199? I didn’t think that was physically possible
im clean I swear I’m clean. I did eat some meat from Mexico and I someone gave me a shake and I trusted them.
Yesterday was a rough day mentally for me. Did two “mood” rides and while they didn’t fix anything they did help me and kept me from drinking. I’m grateful for that platform and this one. Working out and shitposting really helps.
