Winder River, Sicario or HoHW could all be my favorite of his movies depending on the day. Dude seems brilliant. Got the ability to make nearly perfect movies while making tons of money off campy TV shows "That’s pretty cowboy, huh dad?” “No, son. That was all Arapahoe”.
The Town is great bc Jeremy Renner is a natural at playing a smack addicted action fiend but it’s not better than my list.
There’s supposed to be 4 new Sheridan shows, I’ve watched everything so far but that may be pushing it. Yellowstone is probably the lowest on my list of what he’s done
you should like your music as much as you want. I like different music. That's fine. I have watched the taylor sheridan catalog all the way through, and I am now watching Friday Night Lights with my wife.
Since there’s not a dedicated thread, I’d like to use this one to encourage everyone to watch The Nice Guys
Welp, apparently 1883 is a limited series and only going to be one season of 10 episodes. However, there's another Yellowstone prequel coming out titled 1932. According to the internet, Sheridan signed a $200,000,000 deal to produce his shows for Paramount. Not sure what shows that includes but clearly he's getting paid and Paramount is all about it.
which makes sense why like 3 hours of the most recent season of Yellowstone was a commercial for that show.
I need like a 1982 where we get Josh Lucas version of John Dutton I'd say 1883 stands on its own even if you didn't like any of Yellowstone. I'll give one warning got to get past the narrator's voice
And got to live out his dream in the meantime. The guy certainly seems to have it all figured out. I've formed the theory that he knows exactly what he's doing with Yellowstone -- the bad writing is a feature, not a bug. Someone who can write perfect dialogue in his films can also write perfectly bad dialogue for TV. This has to be intentional:
