I’m a little suspect because a true native would not shake their head and say “Man, only in Atlanta” they would laugh and say “ATL hoe”.
I'm surprised he has an interest since the B'ham thread has told us multiple times they are a better food city than lil ole Atlanta
Going to be visiting Atlanta in 2 weeks (Thurs-Sun). Any recs on things to do would be appreciated. Will have our 11 and 9 yr old with us. The aquarium is a given, but any protips on that would also be great.
Fernbank museum, World of Coke, Atlanta Botanical Garden and College football HoF are all good choices depending on what they like
I am a big fan of our zoo. Look into a city pass. You can do a bunch of shit with one discounted ticket. Think aquarium is on there but not sure. Edit: here's the link. It has almost everything everyone has suggested for one price. Good deal. https://www.citypass.com/atlanta?mv...JwlHU-6Gl_joSa27hN-YP4reYjZ1kDMBoC6ZoQAvD_BwE
This might be a particularly good to time to visit Zoo Atlanta. They have the last few giant pandas in all of North America and those are supposed to be returned to China as well later this year. So see them while you can if that at all interests you.
I was unfamiliar with Floral Park Market’s game despite living within walking distance of it for four years now because it closes so early but holy crap, what a place. Expensive as hell but just amazing inventory.
Yeah, they’ve got some good stuff just expensive. They’ll get fresh Brunswick shrimp in every now and then that are just phenomenal. Seems like a good day for Breaker Breaker
Breaker Breaker was a great call. Big fan of Florida Man upstairs, too. First time I’ve been up here.
I would stay away from 5 paces unless you like being drugged and robbed. The answer to your question is always Johnnys Hideaway
The list of places where you have had fun at would be really short. For a person visiting Atlanta and staying in Buckhead, presumably for work, Johnny's Hideaway is a good option, especially considering it's a weekday and not a line around the block like it is every weekend. It's an iconic spot near where he is staying. If he was staying in Midtown I would have said Northside Tavern.
Place just sucks. I've had fun plenty of places. Even an enjoyable outing to Clown Baby 's fav The Ivy. It's weird old creeps. Men and Women. The bartenders are awful. I've known multiple girls get drugged there.
I have been touched without consent numerous times by creepy women. If I was single and wanted to bang someone that was 65, the appeal is there no doubt. My wife used to like to go for dancing, but the old men finally grossed her out and her coworker got drugged during a work outing. Also, idk but all the bartenders are like 70 and have some stuck up attitude.
Def some big trees down over in Kirkwood/East Lake. Luckily missed the power lines, I guess. Someone put out a Home Depot construction bucket, 14 inches tall, and it filled the entire thing to the brim.
Definately heard it come through between like 4 and 7, but didn't seem like got the near hurricane force winds ppl thought.
Yeah, it’s remarkably clear/clean where I am. Bobby Jones on the other hand is a giant lake right now.
