Did Bill do an entire 2+ hour live pod with Russillo last night and never turn his mic on? It sounds horrible.
This lasted less than a month and Bill is back on the "Tatum is the third best player in the league" bit. In the live pod I'm listening to Russillo said Giannis is "never lower than 3rd in the best player convo" (or something like that) and Bill said "well, 4th" and Russillo didn't challenge it. And he said somewhere else last week that Tatum is top 3.
my favorite is the hinting at a project he can't talk about. We are like 6 years in and absolutely nothing to show for his writing career in LA. I do enjoy his podcast most of the time. Wargon is just hilarious. Espresso Martini's, not living up to the name Michael Jordan, and sisterhood of the traveling pants have all caused me to laugh so hard I cried.
Considering how often Bill and Ryen compete to see who can deep throat Steph the most, zero surprise Bill was the one who dropped the “I actually think it was a good thing Steph got shut down for 3 quarters until his defender got hurt” although I guess Russillo saying his only thought after 3 quarters was that people might be mean to Steph is up there too
It’s a two parter as well. Excited. Van and Sean I think will keep him in check. I bet last week’s awful pick had such poor clicks and downloads they decided to pull all an all-timer.
I love Zach Lowe but *whatever noise they have to separate segments is really weird. I do not like it *zach stopped consuming any sort of content that wasn’t nba basketball games in 1998. The Simpson’s and 3 Amigos references were old man.
can’t wait to hear his spin on tatum down the stretch last night and by that i mean can’t wait for someone to listen and summarize itt
make no mistake, it is incredibly timeless. The point remains Zach stopped ingesting anything but pick and roll match ups a long time ago. and I love him for it.
I've listened to the first 20 minutes and it's pretty funny. Bill basically said "this movie is actually really good and I don't know why I wasn't into it more before". I don't expect that to last the full 3.5 hours but at least he's starting from that place.
I'm a little over an hour in to the Star Wars pod. Elite moment where Bill says the Yankees immediately became the Evil Empire to people in Boston, followed by... Van: "For Boston it was the Yankees? It wasn't integration?" Sean: "Yeah, for some us that was Jim Crow."
kinda confused why The Ringer dot com is doing something called Millennial Week (I am one) in the middle of the NBA playoffs. why not save this for July or something?
Picking Nits: Sean praises George Lucas's imagination without mentioning he lifted pretty much the entire plot from Dune
Bill was hilarious on this pod. Loved his “long 2” joke, as well as his comment about Craig hopefully not being related to his wife.
Part 1 is among my favorite Rewatchables episodes ever. Thought they lost steam in part 2 with the categories but still fun and it's 3.5 hours (which they apparently didn't plan for) so it can't all be gold. Van's hot take was wild and I'm shocked they all just sat there like "interesting take, bud! What's next?"

Every time I try to listen to Midnight Boys reaction pods about anything I like, the first 10-15 minutes I think it's fun and then by the 30-45 minute mark I turn it off because Charles sucks. At this point it's on me.
I don’t doubt it. Sean is pretty knowledgeable I don’t disagree that Lucas is creative though. His ex wife used to keep his worst creative impulses in check though
