always enjoy Moore. recommend at least getting one of their heavily marked down candles https://moorecollection.com/collections/anniversary
Any must try restaurants near the state capitol or places worth venturing a little further that get yall excited?
Man, went to British Bulldog while I was in town. Their chicken tikka masala used to be fire. It was trash. :(
I like the interior vibe of the bar but wouldn’t bank on the quality of their food anymore for sure. I represented the company that owns that bar and a bunch of others in and around Denver in unrelated litigation. Was surprised to see how many quality places they operate that are no frills. I love Wyman’s, for example.
Well, let’s try this again. Got my house in Tennessee under contract and close on Dec. 12. We have been in constant contact with our realtor in Denver and are coming back out in Nov. 15 to hopefully put an offer on something. Unfortunately, our favorite that we have seen (online and through our realtor going and sending videos) had an offer submitted this evening. Fingers crossed we find something else we really like.
just saw a Korean punk band at lost lake on a whim. What a great little venue. Acoustics are so good in there. Plus non smoking inside and a great bar. Highly recommend.
How is the food at El Five? Only been there for drinks. Thinking of taking my sister and BIL there for dinner.
I went when visiting a buddy a couple months ago and enjoyed it. We shared a few dishes. I remember the mushroom skewers or whatever really sticking out in the lamb skewer entree if I remember correctly.
Also, I finally ate at Hey Kiddo and it’s amazing. Might be my favorite place in Denver. Expensive as hell, obviously but it’s worth it.
Cozobi Fonda Fina in Boulder is awesome, especially the crudos. Sister restaurant to 1 star Alma Fonda Fina in Denver and way easier to get into.
They were subject to a non compete and eventually the restaurant group backed off and Alma Fonda fina was able to reopen.
Steakhouse 316 in Boulder also awesome (Chicago steakhouse level quality) just wish their prices weren’t so terrible
I worked at Connor’s throughout college. Guarantee there are remnants of car bomb vomit still floating around that place.
I guess I was just surprised when a dry aged strip was $95 but steak prices have really shot up the past 10 years or so.
Officially under contract on a house in Englewood. Was a busy ass weekend; I think we saw 10 houses. Oddly, the one we are under contract on wasn’t on our list or our realtor’s. I was in the backyard of another place and happened to look down the street and saw a for sale sign. Happened to be the one.
Anyone been to Stone Cellar Bistro? The executive chef of it is on Hell’s Kitchen this season and is doing well
Crudos are all fantastic but the scallop crudo is a must. Flautas are really good. Haven’t had a bad thing there honestly
I’ve never had Indian food. The new house is within a 10 minute walk to this place. Please tell me what to order. https://littleindiaofdenver.com/menu
I would say that is absurd, but I don't eat Italian foods for the most part. Order some garlic naan and either chicken tikka masala or butter chicken, or if you're hesitant biryani
First time Indian food order: chicken 65 app or samosas, either chicken tikka masala, korma (any protein), or biryani (any protein), then garlic or cheese naan for the side
Has anyone ever eaten at crown burger? Kinda feel like I need to go next time I want a certain type of burger.
anyone ever been to Fox Theater for a show in Boulder? An act I like will be there in late March, so I'd have to drive from Denver. wondering if it would be worth it since it is a Monday.
