Yeah, I suppose that makes sense. I just had an internship in college once bidding on those sponsored ads and we had to pay per click.
Saw several clips from this so now watching the whole thing. I'm completely obvious to the beefs in comedy but I'm 30 minutes in and he's spraying everybody lol.
His first standup was okay but that’s because his shtick is always the same so that’s the only time it was original.
They're saying it was a set up by the NY comedy club for promotion for one of their upcoming shows. It worked as it has everyone talking about it but fuck them. I have no clue who would want to go up there after that. Edit: I believe it was actually the promoters who were doing a special show and not the club.
Extremely dumb stunt. Apparently the audience wasn’t in on it and while they got their tickets refunded the show they paid for was cut short (not to mention the anxiety all of that probably caused).
They're lucky it didn't cause a panic event where people got trampled. Watching the clip, I felt like it was teetering on that. I know the club isnt big but it just takes 10-15 people to mosh pit out the door for an injury to happen.
Wow that's incredibly stupid if so. Didn't even marginally come off as funny or a joke. Hope Normand told them they were idiots.
I don't need some place fucking around with some stunt like that in the age of mass shootings. Fuck you
That insta account is weird as hell. Someone in the comments is saying it's viral marketing for Donald Glover's new show? Idk but he did repost these stunts. Separately I saw the Tyra Banks/Furries thing like a day or two ago before the Normand thing. Very weird stuff
No way it was planned to the knowledge of everyone working there. The woman on the mic was completely panicked.
that’s completely fucked up and could have gone sideways pretty quickly. If I’m Normand I’m fucking pissed and wouldn’t be doing business with that promoter ever again
I'll never watch or consume whatever they're trying to market. I'd stop using my favorite brand over that type of shit.
My wife and I saw him in Louisville last year. Was very funny. I'd never heard of him but she followed his Insta. Now I watch all his stuff on Reddit.
I’ve never set a reminder to watch a show I haven’t watched in a decade bc my favorite Marvel movie actor/actress was hosting. You guys just need to accept Bowanko isn’t the most famous TMB alum anymore.
Was there in the audience for the taping. He likely taped all his shows so not sure if it was the particular one I went to, but it was an incredibly hilarious set.
3rd best for 18-49. I think both of those numbers makes complete sense. Cant imagine many 50+ know who Shane Gillis is.
what was I wrong about? I am not Twitter user nemo1080, tweet at him, but also watch ‘Tires’ on Netflix
Nick Swardson doesn’t appear to be doing great A year ago Yesterday He blamed it on the altitude making the weed and alcohol stronger
just snagged tickets for Aziz in Denver on Sunday night for a just announced series of shows at Comedy Works.
I guess Shane Gillis is in Nashville tonight. I’ve had multiple people ask me if he was coming in the bar I’m working at tonight.
saw andrew santino last night for the first time and he was incredible. definitely one of the best, if not the best, I have seen live
Incredible special. Look forward to casting my vote for Yeti BearbackiBreading in the upcoming election
