It was all protruding straight out. It has flattened out somewhat. But yeah, still pretty noticeable!

Straight up baby teeth. We were told we more than likely have to go to a pediatric dentist and have them removed in case they get loose and swallow

My God. I was changing my 7 month old today on the bed and this dude LITERALLY launched a rope of shit over six feet through the air.

Most of it ended up on my arm from the elbow down, but the stuff that went past went as far as the wall and curtains. I'm dead serious, six feet away.

    Best job on the planet.

Yes. Our daughter, who is now 13 months, was born with two baby teeth on the bottom. We have been to the pediatric dentist 3 times. They said they will either stay attached, which hers did, or if they are not attached securely, they would remove them. They also said they could fall out on their own and they would be so small that if she did swallow them, it wouldn't be a huge deal.

She was born with those two teeth, and those are still the only teeth she has at 13 months. They said if by 16 months she still doesn't have any teeth poking through, to come in and get an X-ray to make sure they are in there, lol.

My 5 and 8 year old were playing hockey in the neighbor's driveway last night. 8 year old daughter took a hockey stick to the forehead from my 5 year olds follow through. Surprisingly she didn't cry and wasn't really hurt but was pissed off and started chasing him around wanting to fight. I watched the whole thing unfold from my lawn mower and I really wish I had my phone to video because the whole ordeal was quite hilarious see.

Dropped my oldest off for his first day of kindergarten. He handled drop off like a champ. I’ve kept it together fine but I’m just “working” while watching the clock until I can go get him and ask him 10000 questions to see how his day was.

Dad question that's got me pretty riled up...

My 5 year old can be VERY dramatic. About a week ago she and the baby got some sort of bug. She had a night where she had diarrhea and vomiting, once at the same time. She even asked if she was dying while it was coming out both ends. She ALWAYS has something hurt or needing band-aids etc, you get it.

The last few days she comes home acting fine but then starts whining that her tummy hurts, she then wants to lay down in bed. I try to trick her into playing and she will rough house around. Last night she ate fine, her school/camp hasn't said anything at all. No fever. Nothing.

But she keeps doing it. Either something is really wrong or she's been incredibly dramatic for whatever reason.

Any of you ever had to deal with this. I'm so incredibly annoyed by it that I had to leave the room to keep my cool tonight.

She either needs to poop and has some little fear of doing so after the sick poop experience or she is hungry.
Or, could be that camp is wearing her out so good she is just really tired, maybe not 100% after the sickness

You may have been on to something... we felt her stomach and it was pretty hard.

So mommy just gave the first stool softener suppository.. within three minutes she pooped and ran out of the bathroom happy.

Our oldest started kindergarten yesterday, and our twins (4 in a month) are in VPK on the same campus. I do drop off and picks up every day since I WFH and my wife commutes to her office in the complete opposite direction. Kindergarten drop off is at 7:45 and VPK at 8:30. They have a “bridge program” where I can drop off the twins at 7:45 too, and it’s $450 for the year for each twin (so basically $5/day). Wife wants me to just sit in the car with both twins every day for 45 minutes instead of paying the money. :hilldawg:

$450 for a year is a God damn steal. I wouldn't be shocked if it was near 450 a month

This hits home so hard. The shit my wife comes up with to save money is absurd.

Ex. back when we were living in a small apartment in Miami, she wanted me to park my car at my grandparents house 5ish minutes away because it would save us $100 a month. Her reasoning was that I only needed my car once or twice a week and could uber over to my grandparents to get my car.

More recently, she has been coming up with budgets and suggesting all these cut backs to try and save more because she is planning on stopping working to take care of our son.

The reason she is stopping working because my income has gone up 5x compared to where we were when she got pregnant. We don't need to cutback a thing and are in the process of spending an absurd amount of money on a new pool. But hey, saving $100 a month on food really racks up.

Our spouses are of the same mind. Mrs. DriveByBBQ is in the top 1% of CVS coupon-ers and recently she's made so much money reselling her "American Girl" dolls from her childhood that Ebay sent her tax forms. She went part-time earlier this year to take care of our son. She also runs her Ebay store as a side hustle, she'll go to the thrift store, find designer stuff and relist it at crazy profit margins. $10 designer dresses resold for hundreds, it's awesome.

My wife quit her part time WFH job because balancing all 3 of the kids stuff with the daily things managing the home requires was too much. It still feels like too much, but at least now she's not preoccupied with her day job that didn't pay enough to make it remotely worth it. Our lives were much easier when I was working from home but now i'm in the office from 8-5 all day every day with a 30-45 minute commute. Something had to give.

Yeah, she runs it at her leisure, it's definitely not any sort of income we rely on, it's purely supplemental. She just loves the thrill of the treasure hunt and getting a good deal.

I haven’t been to a movie theater in years. My kids really wanted to see the Superpets movie so I agreed. $40 for 3 tickets and $30 in popcorn/candy/soda.

    This movie better be good.
