Lmao teacher biting back is so out of line
I would lose my mind at that daycare.
You know who else was cut from their freshman basketball team Druce ?
lol that teacher would be fired immediately and they would self report the incident to DHR if it was a halfway reputable daycare.
There aren't really woes. Controlling a feral 2 year bobcat....I mean toddler in a 2' x 5' airplane row is definitely a woe. Those flights were rough, but gotten a lot better. Hopefully we watch Despicable Me 3 a on repeat.
I'll think of GFA when the lobster fisherman walk up to our house from the beach to sell us fresh lobster for $4 each. They used to be $3....but that damn inflation.
I know but it was also like 15 years ago. Wife lost her shit but to be honest I kinda got it
I mean....that's kinda fucked up. A teacher shouldn't do that.
It's really stressing me out though. I'm in constant anxiety over him behaving at school. I'm hoping we can get past it quickly, especially since our beautiful health care system doesn't cover any treatments.
It's tough right now, but hopefully will get through it soon. I try to keep it in perspective b/c I know others probably have it harder
A teacher bit a kid back? What the fuck?
Was that teacher’s name Oranjello or Lemonjello?
Oh god it’s 10 pages
Oh I’ve finger flicked kid1 in the forehead many times when she bit me but that’s totally different from a teacher doing it.
can confirm a hotel room would make it easier to keep an eye on the child
Sounds dope to go to bet at 730 then sit in silence for the next 4 hours before the adults go to bed
Vomit #5 this morning but we made it to the bathroom in time. He tried to hold it back and got some acid in his nose...seems to be the worst part.
We're now watching cartoons and he seems pretty tired and weak. Feel bad for the lil guy
no that sounds awful
Exactly why we aren't doing hotels. Glad to see you're team AirBnB
best trip i ever went on with my kids was a long weekend in Chattanooga where we got room service and watched movies at night. your boy is a tad too young to really enjoy it but once he hits like 3 it will be fun as shit for him. kids love hotels.
The best trip you ever went on was to Chattanooga? Should have at least splurged for Pigeon Forge
best trip with kids. been on plenty of cool shit with just my ole lady but not trying to pay 10 grand to take my family of 5 to another country.
Travel expenses/ease was one reason we stopped at 1. Many other higher issues, but the ease of having 1 and doing a lot of travel was something we talked about.
My mom is the only family who can watch our son. Unfortunately it's an inverse relationship. Every year he gets older and easier, she gets older and more difficult on her. We've recently resorted to taking some solo trips with friends (Me El Salvador her Bahamas/Scotland) so we can get some true vacation downtime. She wants us to go to the Seychelles for her 40th this year, but IDK if that's something my mom can swing
what the hell do you do that allows you to travel like that?
Right now I have "unlimited vacation". I think I'll probably take 7 weeks off this year. I'm a billable employee with a target utilization rate. I'm way over it so I just take more vacations. Billed 55 hours the last 3 weeks so when I go on Vacation the week after thanksgiving it's almost like it doesn't count against me. We're merging with another bigger company and apparently going to have a only 4 weeks, 7 sick days, 8 holidays and 3 floating holidays. We'll see how it works out....I'll probably have more leeway if I'm still highly utilized and billing >> 40. Or I'll just take some quiet vacation.
We do some light CC churning for points to make flights more manageable. But that might only be 1 trip a year.
Not only is Stuhly a loving father, world traveler and shit poster, but is also a shrewd businessman.
Casually dropping hints about a complex credit card points arbitrage strategy. He's just lapping all of us
Gotta milk the system
Go with the MJ response. Fuck that guy. Let’s spend the year proving him wrong.
Vols pulling it off today
I have two boys, 8 and 6. They are competitive with each other to the point of detriment. I’ve just started giving them some time on the Xbox because it’s unavoidable these days. My 8 yo is leaps and bounds ahead of my 6 yo with video games because two years is a lot at this age.
They were just playing The Show 23 and the older one was ahead by 3 in the bottom of the ninth. Bases loaded, Acuna at bat…and the younger one pulls a rabbit out of his ass and goes yard for the walk off grand slam.
My 8 year old might need therapy after this. His reaction was, uh, not great.
My 6 year old is absolutely obsessed with The Show and we can get him to do literally anything if we reward with 20 minutes on the Switch. We have been giving him an hour on the weekends if he gets certain behavior points at school and we recently received an email from the teacher praising his behavior. All the kid wants to do is hit dingers with Acuna on the easiest possible difficulty where the computer is basically doing everything for him.
The show is 9.99 right now. May have to get for 6 year old. He loves the 99 cent Korean baseball game I downloaded for him once. It was cool since I could basically recreate his little league team in it
9 year old just asked me for a ps4 or an Xbox for Christmas
He has a switch he literally never plays with
Only time he plays video games is at other people's houses
I'm not all about spending money on something he either won't play with or will only play with when certain other kids are around just so he can say he has it
Switch sucks ass for games outside of Nintendo games IMO.
Sounds like you need to get him a ps4 and get back into video games
Bunch of gamer dads up in here
18 month old has RSV and it’s the sickest she’s ever been. Gonna have to cancel Thanksgiving travel plans. She’ll be fine.
Finally going to get snookered into getting a Nintendo this year. Really wish they still made a wii or something without a screen
Keep an eye on that kid
Try just keeping it docked and hooked up to the tv at all times? Unless we travel mines always docked.
our routine is my son gets to play it on the couch while my daugther watches a show. so all the switch does is replace some of the screentime he was already getting. I keep it in a different room charging when it's not allowed so he can't just go grab it whenever. It's definitely something we are monitoring and withholding, but his desire to play is only increasing.
I want to take it to my mom's for the long holiday. mainly so I could play Smash and/or Mario kart with my brother and his wife but probably not going to because he will bug the shit out of me asking to play it and a good 5 day cleanse is probably needed.
We brought the Xbox to our place in Florida because I refuse to buy one for here but I also don’t want to hear him bitch for a week plus
I'll probably do the docking thing. It also annoys me that a new one is coming out soon. I may just get a few wireless snes controllers and let him cut his teeth on that this year since he's only 4
I think you’re describing a bowling alley
Officially a fanny pack Dad
playing video games with your kids is a chore until they can read imo
Super Mario 3D World has been the most playable for mine. Recently got Super Mario Bros Wonder and that’s a lot more difficult.
getting our first taste of illness working its way through our household. 4-5 days of nonstop shitting and puking for my seven month old… subsided the same day our toddler exhibited her first symptom. had to spend the night in the hospital with her last night
Our daycare shut down this afternoon because of so many RSV cases.
Man how convenient, just in time for a long holiday weekend
Know a couple co-workers whos kids tested positive today, it went through mine last week/weekend so I get it but kinda pissed because I haven't been able to finish up some house work I need to get done.
