Seeing people sucking lung darts directly in front of the heart and vascular sign/building as I go to park a few times a week always leaves me baffled.
Wanted to add, there were zero mention of possible polyp before. I had an anal fissure years ago that was misdiagnosed as a hemorrhoid. Then when I went to see the surgeon he said it was a fissure and fixed it. This time around, I had the same symptoms as before and went to the same surgeon. He saw another fissure in the office visit, but said ' you know what, your 44 they recommend to start getting a colonoscopy at 45, let's just do that and I can fix the fissure while your there.' I figured why not. And he found the 4 polyps. Glad I did it, and I encourage any and all of you to do it too. Things could have gotten a lot worse if I had just waited.
Been watching men jerk off on the internet for hours now. Why do you think it took me so long to log back in here after pre-op?
him or me? I’m mean I think Brad Pitt is dreamy and does finger cuffing fat hairy pig bertwing actually count?
Damn I don’t know how y’all with UC or Crohn’s deal with it I have ibs and about half the time I feel like I can barely leave my house
Sorry to hear buddy. I have Crohn's too, but luckily a very mild case. some #flaretalk Everyone is different, but a few things for me after 25 years to prevent flares or help during them: learning to snack in my day and only eat smaller meals, big meals always set me off in pain; psyllium husk and wasting money on a stupid good probiotic; accupressure mat and heating pad; exercise every day if you can.
Had my annual check up last week, the doc gave me a referral for one. No issues, just time to have one due to age. Will probably get it done next month.
What type of symptoms did you have? I know a few people similar to this story who were having some symptoms and didn't think it was unusual to just have i.e. diarrhea every day, etc and then got a scope and had polyps.
not sure of your insurance and your usage, but my hack is always get it in november or december so that way you are already beyond your deductible/annual limit/whatever and it's free
All I had was blood showing up on TP from the fissure I do seem to be having some real solid poops the last few days, like I can't remember when they were quite so well formed turds. Maybe that was a sign that went unnoticed, I don't know
I think people don't realize how crazy helpful a fiber supp can be in your life lol. Different ones work for different people so awesome you found something that works. I'm a weirdo psyllium husk fan as it's the only water holding, gel forming, soluble, nonfermented fiber. Yes, this is a psyllium husk ad.
Thanks. Mine's quite mild too, so I'm very thankful for that. I opted against any treatments for the time being since my flare ups are infrequent (but extremely annoying when they happen), so my doc agreed that we'd just monitor it moving forward and can look into treatments if it gets worse. Probably going to get another cam up the butt next year for a check-in.
That’s good. My flare up symptoms are only LRQ pain. I didn’t medicate for almost 20 years and was essentially symptom free, but last 2 years it got worse and I’m giving this new biologic drug a shot for 6 months right now. Hoping it gives me some relief. feel free to PM me if you ever want to… shoot the shit
First one is tomorrow morning at 630 AM, said fuck it and had a banana for breakfast and a salad for lunch. Took first dose an hour ago and most of the required water. I haven't left the toilet in 15 mins, stomach feels bloated and it's fire hose after fire hose. Going to take next dose around 8 PM and i should be all cleaned out by then. I just couldn't do liquid diet for 24 hours. Going to be fun reviewing this thread as I have noticed it in the past
On my last one, I was able to have a light breakfast and lunch the day before. Take your lumps tonight, because that sedation you're gonna get in the morning is fucking elite
To be clear I could never get my doctor (nurse) to return a phone call regarding prep but instead relied on others who have taken them multiple times in the past. I will technically be on a 21 hour liquid diet to be fair
Proud member of the five year club after benign polyps were found during my first one. Prep for the first was fine, two step prep for the second in July was awful. The mix was trying to mimic a tropical fruit flavor that makes me want to gag whenever I think about it. Waking up at 2am to take it again was torture. No polyps on the second go around at least.
Never had one done. But I constantly shit fire water anyways. May I recommend baby wipes that have been ever-so-slightly chilled? It cools and comforts you at your weakest moments.
They did and if there is family history, it should be earlier. Definitely time to get it done fattus. The prep and unpleasantness of the whole experience is kind of overblown IMO. And my doctor made me do like a 3 day modified diet with the last 24 hours being liquid, which sounds more intense than most of what I read ITT. In other words, it’s not so bad and is a very important screen for your health.
Yup. Get on it, young men. A couple hour of fire hose shits followed by a nice nap at the hospital to spare you an unnecessary and awful death is a solid trade.
Had my first a couple weeks ago. They scheduled me for 2:30pm so by following the prep I was on a liquid diet for >36 hours. That sucked. Scope came back 100% clean so he said I don’t have to go back for ten years but I’ll do it again in 5 years despite no family history
It’s cool (usually). We call them “freebies.” Definitely have support lined up before doing it the first time. Never know how it’s gonna hit ya. I did my trial run when I got my teeth yanked and it was awesome.
I do know a few people who just can’t have anything or they’ll full on relapse. A girl I know gets kidney stones and just has to birth them without anything. Fucking brutal.
I'm 33, but think I probably should get one in the near future because of an impressive family history. My parents have been on my case about it.
