im as bad anti ai as anyone (apple intelligence is still turned off on my phone), but that's not really what this ai is doing

it's just so you can search your photo library for "empire state building" and it finds photos you took of the empire state building

I bought a “replica” of the nomad band from eBay and it’s pretty decent but I’ve been using the Nike sport loop - It’s a tiny bit more comfier than the regular Apple Loop

Just got the 16 pro. Not a fan of the button layout on the sides of the phone. I’m always accidentally hitting volume up or sleep

 

I never use the camera button intentionally but find myself constantly hitting it on accident.

 

Bought the iPad Pro but forgot to buy a cover. Anyone use the magic keyboard and think it’s worth the cost over a more normal cover?

 

Yes it is. Especially if you are using it as your main computer

Ipad pro is my main device outside my desktop and mainly because the magic keyboard works so well. I bought mine from ebay for like 40 bucks but it was the older version. You can also buy a knockoff from aliexpress for 50 bucks.

 

I use the Magic Keyboard on mine. Makes it almost a laptop.

 

Side note aliexpress knock off airpod pros are insanely good nowadays. If you know the right version they are indistinguishable from normal airpods pros.

It's pretty fascinating really. I bought a pair on a whim just to have a spare and there are zero differences in sound, features, and quality to me vs my real airpod pros. But definitely make sure they are danny pro 2 v5.2 because there are some bad replicas out there

 

Get one with an M chip if you can.

 

If warranty won’t cover maybe check to see if an independent apple service shop would be cheaper.

I was getting mildly underwhelmed with apple until the M chip dropped and they pulled me right back in. The fact that some mobile apps work on the desktop is cool. But what it does with photo processing, especially with all the built in AI functions….intel should feel nothing but shame.

Should I get the 2024 iPad Pro with M4 or wait for next Pro (whenever that comes out)? Will just be mad to get it and then new one comes out in 4 months.

 

iPad Pro has been on like a two year cycle I think. Either way the improvements have been incremental so if you need one now just go for it.

 

Bought a bunch of Apple stock when it dipped down to the low 220s last week. Up $20 since then and they jsut had their earnings report come out late yesterday that was their best quarter ever, up over $10 in pre-market trading

Looks like roughly $12 per share on my most recent buy since shit started cratering after the tariffs were announced. I can’t remember how much I bought or what the exact price was so don’t have a total dollar amount. I’ve owned Apple stock for several years now so I’m up 16.43% over the life of my stocks.
