No idea. The quicker turnaround labs so far all look normal & first covid test came back negative. Which is great but also a little unnerving. Going to be a long night

Haven’t had this specific instance but something kind of similar. Our daughter is 2 and has recently become terrified of thunderstorms. Like your bath experience she went through a bunch of bad ones with no reaction but then a few weeks ago had one that completely terrified her and we couldn’t get her to sleep.

I think at this age she gets a ton of cues on how to react from us so I’m trying to get my wife to coddle her less during storms and treat it as a normal thing that happens that she will have to deal with. No idea if that’s “approved” parenting behavior but I think there’s something to it.

I dealt with this as my daughter really had bipolar swings about the most random things. This was one of them.

I got her some new bath toys and just kept her mind occupied with bath toys and playing and she forgot about ever being spooked. Bubble bath helps too.

Bathing is a every other day thing. He hates washing his hair so I load the bath tub up with soap and give him goggles to swim in soapy water. Seems to get the trick done. Once a week. I'll hold him down screaming and wash his hair.

My son hated washing his hair for a long time. Just recently came around, I’ll just dump water over his head and he thinks it’s hilarious.

my son hates getting in the bath, loves taking a bath, and hates getting out of it. Obviously he is not a fan of transitions. we do 4-5 baths a week in the summer.

Everyday kid bathers checking in. My kids love it and stay in the bath/shower until the hot water runs out. We are a very wasteful household when it come to water.

After a many years of attempting, wife and I finally got our desire. Say hello to Levi. Born Monday evening via emergency c-section 2 weeks early. Both mom & baby were 100% fine immediately after surgery. They both were discharged Thursday afternoon. This guy is amazing.

My wife spent 70 fucking dollars on two goddamn dinosaurs for my kids. 70 fucking dollars.

It was worth every penny when they were delivered earlier today. My kids were hyped.
They’ll probably only play with them for a few days, but that’s ok.

On Saturday I spent $30 on an Indominus Rex dinosaur that my son had been asking for every hour of every day for weeks.

His reaction to finally getting it made it all worth it. I've rewatched it no less than 100 times this weekend.

Kid cranked the water temp to full hot when I was washing her hair out and I didn’t notice in time. Fortunately the water was only on her for a short moment and she isn’t injured, but I’ve already got the lecture of “you need to be more careful you don’t care about safety yadda yadda”.

just gonna set the heater to 120F and not worry about future repeats.

Our 2 year girl is a safety disaster. She needed stitches after a fall on Thursday. Then on Friday when she had enough swinging she intentionally leaned to fall off a 2-person glider swing which proceeded to hit her as it swung back; tried to take 2-3 belly flops off my lap to the floor; and sprinted directly in to a wall, no stop, as if she just received a great pep talk.

A kid in our twins daycare class tested positive for COVID. So we had to go out and get the whole family tested, and test results aren't going to come back for 5-7 days. That of course means that I'll be home with my wife and 3 kids (all 3 and under) for at least the next week while attempting to work. Going to be the longest week(s) of my life.

Just the one classroom? Seems like it would be the whole school sense I would imagine it would be possible the kid had interactions with more than just that classroom. The teacher for example I'm sure had interactions with other teachers/administration. Really just curious as I'm sure this is going to happen a lot in the coming weeks all over the country.

3 year old has been on a stinky and dirty exclusive kick for about 3 weeks now. What's particularly interesting is it's the first show he's started to repeat or mimic whenever he isn't watching it.

For example he goes "screeeeeeeeccch" whenever he stops running or something. Pretty cute but I've seen too much of this show recently.

My wife's cousin's 2 year old got mauled by a dog while on vacation. It was their friend's dog and she wasn't even acting rough. She just reached her hand out and the dog pounced. Bit her in the face then tried to swing her back and forth while gripped onto her face. I wasn't there but we were with them earlier in the day. Everyone was extremely shooken up and just thankful she survived.

The little girl is going to be fine. She had to get stiches but fortunately her eyes/nose/mouth are intact and I don't think she will need plastic surgery. Tough little thing is already back to playing with her siblings.

Just a warning to you guys be careful with your little's around a dog you don't know. My kids love dogs and love to grab and play with our's, and wouldn't hesitate to try to play with others. Now I know to be a little more careful when around even my friend's or brother's dogs.

Doesn't even have to be a dog you don't know. When my niece was a toddler she crawled out of sight of my parents/sister and crawled too close to their dog. Dog gave a growl then bit her face. Very shitty situation.

I love my kids the most, but “Hey Dad” 6000 times a day when we’ve all been home since the first week of March isn’t as endearing as you’d think.

My Pavlovian response to “Hey Dad” is to just say “no”. I won’t even let them finish because it’s usually something like “Hey dad...can we take this knife and try to get the cars we shoved in this speaker out?”

For me it's that I can't really have much of a conversation like you probably could with a 5 year old. I'll be playing with her, like tickling, and she'll non-stop keep asking me to continue doing it while I'm playing like I'm going to suddenly stop. She must repeat herself probably a thousand times a day since she doesn't have a concept of waiting even if we say yes.
